List of Florida hurricanes (1975-1999) edit

It's based on the format of a few other featured lists, and I believe close enough to try for an FLC run. Comments would be greatly appreciated. It is useful, comprehensive, factually accurate, stable, uncontroversial and well-constructed, I believe. It has images, as well. The concern I have is the MOS format, which I will gladly fix if it is incorrect. Hurricanehink (talk) 01:18, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment, would a lead sentence of "78 Atlantic tropical cyclones affected the U.S. state of Florida from 1975 to 1999." work better because it eliminates the self-reference? -Phoenix 19:46, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support, appears to meet the featured list criteria. --Coredesat 19:00, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. I'm a little puzzled by the "damage... is unknown" statements. Do your sources say "damage unknown" or is it just that you've failed to find a source that details the damage. If the latter, would it not be better to just say nothing? Colin°Talk 21:26, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • It is the latter, as the sources I've found do not mention damage. I don't know if it would be better to just say nothing, however. For most of the unknowns, the yearly hurricane review is sourced, and they are usually pretty good in mentioning if there is any damage. Additionally, that is the format of the other featured hurricane lists. Hurricanehink (talk) 21:44, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
