Support: Seems complete.--MarshalN20 | Talk 23:06, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a fan of topics on semi-obscure ppl, but this seems to be a fine topic. However, sports teams usually include coaches also. WHat makes all the players notable, while the coach is not? Doesn't the coach receive a medal also? Nergaal (talk) 10:21, 12 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
WP:NOLYMPICS, which says that Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the Summer or Winter Olympic games or have won a medal at the Paralympic Games. This makes all the Gliders notable, but as a coach John Triscari is not presumed notable. And no, coaches do not get Olympic or Paralympic medals. I could try and assemble an article on John. User:Graham87 and I have repaired all the broken links. Sports links have a half-life of about six months, so this is not exceptional. Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:05, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Question - This topic seems to be ready to be promoted. However, is there consensus on whether or not to add the coach in the topic? GamerPro64 18:40, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've created an article on John Triscari, and have nominated it for GA. Sports articles take months to come up for review, and there is no guarantee that it will pass. I will also be bring assistant coach David Gould's page to GA. Unlike Triscari, he is automatically notable, being a Paralympic gold medallist. Hawkeye7 (talk) 21:23, 3 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Happy to Support without coach, though that one'd be a bonus Cas Liber (talk·contribs) 19:45, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Closed with a consensus to promote to Good Topic. And hopefully the addition to John Triscari would be soon. - GamerPro64 00:20, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
