Jamie Edward Hanrahan (Jeh)

Jamie Edward Hanrahan, better known on Wikipedia by his initials, Jeh, passed away suddenly on March 19, 2019, in Pennsylvania.^[1]

Jamie registered his Wikipedia account in 2005. Over time, he made significant contributions to technology related articles while also helping revert vandalism and review pending changes, amassing over 15,000 edits during his time on Wikipedia.

Ron H. Jones (Ronhjones)

Ron Jones, a retired physical chemist from England, died on April 7, 2019, the day he made his last edit, in a tragic house fire that also claimed the life of his wife Sue and their beloved pets. On Wikipedia he was an administrator who helped out with WikiProject Chemistry, did anti-vandalism work, and also ran RonBot, which among other things performed maintenance on non-free images. He had been a contributor for over 11 years, making over 400,000 edits. He was a prolific editor, as well as an administrator on Wikimedia Commons since 2013 where he made over 100,000 edits.^[2] Furthermore, he was part of the Wikimedia OTRS Team. He was a member of the Inland Waterways Association, whose London branch published an obituary of him in their January–July 2019 newsletter. He published scientific papers, as Ronald H. Jones. Jim Council (James Council)

Jim Council, a professor of psychology at North Dakota State University, passed away on July 19, 2019. A Wikipedian since 2012, Jim's biggest contributions came through the contributions of the more than 350 student editors that he brought to Wikipedia, starting in 2014, who added over 150,000 words to mainspace. Jim served on the faculty of the Psychology Department at NDSU for 31 years as a professor, department chair, associate dean, and dean. But what stood out more than anything was his kindness.

Lise Summers (Morethangrass)

Lise Summers, a professional archivist, passed away on 10 August 2019. As well as editing Wikipedia since 2012, Lise was a strong advocate for Wikipedia and its sister projects in the worlds of libraries and archives. She was Senior Archivist at the State Records Office of Western Australia, and between 2012 and 2015 was President of the History Council of Western Australia. In her role as a council member of the Australian Society of Archivists (tribute), and conference program chair, she arranged for the closing keynote of their 2018 conference to be on the subject "Wikipedia Loves Archives: Archives Should Love Wikipedia, Too".

Angus McLellan (Angusmclellan)

Angus Merker McLellan was a Wikipedia administrator and long-term contributor to the project, known for his work on articles related to Scotland, and about the Middle Ages. He passed away on November 15, 2019 after a brief battle with lymphoma.

Brian Boulton (Brianboulton)

Brian Boulton, a retired academic, died on 9 December 2019. He joined Wikipedia as early as 2003, editing as an IP until late 2007. At first he worked mainly on polar history articles and biographies, but later branched into classical music, literature, politics and history, with a curious taste for marine disasters from time to time. He was responsible for getting more than 100 articles to FA, and at the same time was a tireless, patient and immensely helpful reviewer.

He was unfailingly courteous, and never let any exasperation show in his contributions. A fair few London-based Wikipedians had the pleasure of meeting him, and he was as convivial in real life as he was kindly and wise on Wikipedia. "He was a mentor to us all", said one tribute on his talk page, and indeed he was.
