Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Estirabot

Operator: Meldor

Automatic or Manually Assisted: Semiautomatic

Programming Language(s): Phython

Function Summary: This bot is already working on catalan wikipedia (under the same name), so it would use the warning files it generates. You can see contributions here.

Edit period(s) (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): One time run. See coments below --Meldor 11:39, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edit rate requested: Controlled by pywikipedia (not too fast).

Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Y (in catalan wiki).

Function Details: Mainly interwikis, and other minor changes (orthography). In catalan wikipedia, it occasionally renames categories, but only if it's asked to.

Discussion edit

Seems OK. It's obviously not a one time run on cawp; would you consider running it repeatedly here? Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 09:44, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I think there must be many other interwiki bots that scan enwp, I'd prefer linking articles that I found from cawp (not only linking catalan-english, but also english-'another language'). If there is need for another interwiki bot, obviously I can scan enwp too, if you request me to. --Meldor 12:31, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
This is very simple have a   Approved for trial (50 edits). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. just to work out any cross-wiki bugs, tell us how it goes, I'm not sure how high the demand is for interwiki bots from cawp but your most welcome to do more than one run if all goes well. --Chris  G  11:11, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
One thing about the trial edits. I noticed one time run it's not the best definition, as you told me. I planned on using just the warning file, but I've seen that, if properly configurated, I can apply the iw I find in the catalan immediately on the enwp, which is quite more fast. So, I would better define it as continous while I'm connected, though I don't scan enwp, I scan cawp, and apply the iw's. --Meldor 20:59, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, no probs that I can see   Approved. --Chris  G  10:39, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
