Have you read the AMA FAQ?

  • Answer: Yes

How would you describe the nature of this dispute? (policy violation, content dispute, personal attack, other)

  • Answer: Content dispute

What methods of Dispute Resolution have you tried so far? If you can, please provide wikilinks so that the Advocate looking over this case can see what you have done.

  • Answer: I started a discussion about matter on the Claria article's Talk page.
  • I edited the page to make the corrections, documented who I am and why I made the corrections and referred to the section of WP:AUTO which indicates that when an article contains inaccuracies, it is not only appropriate for the subject of an article to edit the article, but that it should be done.
  • I asked third parties reading the Talk page to get involved and/or offer suggestions.

What do you expect to get from Advocacy?

  • Answer: Direction on how best to ensure accuracy on the page.

Summary: edit

The article about Claria Corporation includes:

  • Inaccuracies as to individuals and dates (documented in edits made by me -- but repeatedly reverted.)
  • Failure to include updated information recognizing changes in the company's business model.
  • A non-neutral description of the company, resulting in an inaccurate and unfair portrayal of the company and its business.

As a representative of Claria Corporation, I am seeking a way to correct errors and create an accurate, neutral portrayal of my company and its business, and a way to get edits to that end (done by anyone) to stick without nearly automatic reversion.

Thanks! Kristine Messerly, director of corporate marketing, Claria Corp.
