Veedevadandi Babu is a 1997 Telugu language Indian film written and directed by EVV Satyanarayana, a remake of Tamil film Ullathai Allitha starring Mohan Babu, Shilpa Shetty, and Tanikella Bharani. Although Mohan babu is the titular hero of the film, he was dominated by Brahmanandam, who then was seen film's hero. The film received very positive reviews from audience and critics.[citation needed] The film flooded the theaters with people due to the positive word of mouth and also went on to be one of the best comedy films ever in the history of telugu film industry. This movie was one of the highest grossing films of 1997 and is considered as an all time blockbuster movie by the Box Office.[citation needed]
