Any of these topics will work, Zem Mitchell. You may have more opportunity to work with Equiano, since it's likely his article is less developed than Fitzgerald's or Eliot's. For the latter authors, you might choose to work on a particular work of theirs, or edit several articles related to their works in order to find enough room to contribute, rather than just working on the author's article. Those authors' pages are much more likely to be well developed and "policed" by other editors, but you should still be able to find opportunities to include Wikipedia's coverage of either of them Good luck! Olaudah Equiano

• In the second paragraph I'll change the title of his narrative to the full title, like it is listed in other sections.
• It is stated that his narrative is the first known slave narrative, I don't think that correct, so I will change that.
• The last part of the first paragraph under "Early Life and Enslavement" needs a citation. I will try to find a reputable website to back up the information listed.
• I will add a wiki-like to gun-decks to allow the reader to see what a gun-deck is.
• Throughout the whole article he is referred to as two different names. I will change that so he is only referred to as the same name throughout the whole article.
• A citation is needed in the second to the last paragraph under "Early Life and Enslavement". I will try to find a reputable website to back up the information.
• I will add a wiki-link to deckhand.
• I will add a wiki-link to the word "non-denominational group" that lead the reader the wikipedia article about that, so they can see what that means.
• I'll add a wiki-link to Joanna Vassa that will take the reader to her wikipedia article.
• A citation is needed in the second paragraph under "Last Days and Will". I will try to find a reputable website to back up the information listed.
• I will add a wiki-link to Paul Edwards, so the reader can click on it read the wikipedia page about him.

Zem Mitchell, You've found some great minor corrections to make to this article that demonstrate careful and close reading of the article. However, by themselves these edits won't constitute a substantial contribution to Wikipedia. Keep in mind that there is a research component to this project; this means you are expected to do some research on your subject that will help you add actual content o the article (and not just make corrections -- even if they are needed!). Other than adding some links to united information, you will also want to add some content to this article. Instead of editing only Equiano's article, you might consider adding to the article for The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, as well; you could add to the Themes or Reception sections here. That article also has some organizational problems (it includes a summary of the narrative in the themes section, for example) that you could address. Summary

I plan on adding several minor corrections under the Wikipedia page, Olaudah Equiano. I will add wiki-links to the words deckhead,non-denominational group, Joanna Vassa, gun-deck, and Paul Edwards so the reader can click on it and read the Wikipedia page on it. I will also make sure the title of his narrative is complete and the whole title is visible. Right now the article refers to him by two different names, so I will change that so he is referred to the same name throughout the article to eliminate confusion. Citations are needed in the first paragraph under "Early Life and Enslavement", the last paragraph under "Early Life and Enslavement", and the second paragraph under "Last Days and Will". I will try to find reputable sources to back up the information listed under those headings. If I can't find a source I will remove the information. Lastly, the article states that his narrative was the first know slave narrative. I don't think that is correct, so i will fact check it and if it isn't true I will change it. I will also make some bigger changes on the Wikipedia page entitled, The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano. I plan on adding more under the heading Reception. I can list how African Americas perceived the narrative and how white people perceived the narrative, like what we discussed in class. I will find reputable sources to back up the information so I can avoid being bias. I can also add how many estimated copies of the narrative was printed to contribute to the information at the beginning of the paragraph. I will also create a separate section for summaries. This sounds good, Zem Mitchell. Just be sure that the summaries you add to The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equino are all in your own words, and not cut/pasted from a study guide website. you may also want to see if the summaries already there have been lifted from another site, and revise as necessary. This source discusses what kind of style Equiano's story is, such as slavery narrative, spiritual autobiography, or travel narrative. This source also discusses Equiano's bi-cultural identity and how that affected the narrative and his life. This source will help me add more information about Equiano's culture and add more information about the style of the narrative, since only slavery and travel narrative is listed on the wikipedia page. This has increased my knowlege of Equiano's narrative and identity. This is similar to my other sources because they are about Equiano's narrative and is from the same database. This source discusses the importance of Equiano's many names and Equiano's colonial indetity. This source also covers the assimilation Equiano had to do when he traveled to new countries. This is a useful source for editing the Wikipedia page because I can add more information about Equiano's identity. This is similar my other sources, specifically "Collective Commerce and the Problem.." , because it is about Equiano's narrative and life. This source discusses the different "selfs" Equiano has in his narrative. Several examples include his individual self,collective self,economic self, "African" self, and "Western" self. This source is valuable because it gives me new information about the different typifications Equiano dealt with. I can add information to a section on the narrative's wikipedia page and can build upon the information I got from "Ethnic Self Dramaization...". This is similar to my other sources because it is about Equiano's narrative and is from the same database, EBSCOhost. This source discusses the validity of Equiano's past. Specifically, Lovejoy argues that despite evidence suggesting he wasn't born in Africa, he was. This will help me contribute to the Wikipedia page about Equiano's narrative because I can add a section about the validity of where he was born and then present both sides of the argument. This is similar to my other sources because it is about Equiano's slave narrtive and life.
