May 2014

I uploaded an article about 3/4 days ago, entitled "Darling Downs Toastmasters Club Inc". I cannot find it in Wikipedia. How long does it take to appear? Zambuk074 (talk) 05:30, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

Hello Zambuk074 and welcome to Wikimedia. Your article won't "appear" because it is in your userspace and normally such pages are used for article development. However, it still needs some work before it can become a full article. I would highly recommend you look at Wikipedia:Articles for creation and follow the step-by-step method for submitting your article. I have added a couple of markers to make sure the userpage doesn't appear in search engines yet and to make clear it is a userpage. FireflySixtySeven, part of your critique says I should refer to already published works to establish the veracity of the article. Sadly, nothing is published about this - my article is recording history for the first time. I know it is correct because I have the old Minute Books in a box in my garage, and I have extracted information from there. If nothing is published, how can I comply with this requirement? If nothing is published, you cannot comply with the requirement, and the topic isn't notable enough for a Wikipedia article in the first place. That's an unsalvageable flaw; you should find a different topic to write about. Huon (talk) 19:58, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
