J20 edit

I've kept much of what you wrote in the article. I appreciate that you cited your information and have added more reliable sources such as the Aviation Week article by Bill Sweetman, a noted expert, who has been closely following the J-20, that contains the most authoritative description of the fighter so far. Amraamny (talk) 21:35, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi, the stuff you added it not cited and is inaccurate. In addition, do not remove cited information. I have left a message for you on your talk page. Zabanio (talk) 21:53, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

What?? I am the creator of this article the last thing I would do is vandalise. All my information is carefully cited. Plus I included your addition with the exception of odd sources like Pak1StanF1st. Please review my edits before making an uncalled for statement. Amraamny (talk) 21:54, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your original article had zero citations and was +tagged as such, you deleted my cited information and placed your own POV, which is uncited into the article. Stop that it is considered vandalism. Zabanio (talk) 21:59, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

What part of it was a point of view...I am basing my information on the reliable article here: http://www.aviationweek.com/aw/generic/story_generic.jsp?channel=awst&id=news/awst/2011/01/03/AW_01_03_2011_p18-279564.xml&headline=China%27s%20J-20%20Stealth%20Fighter%20In%20Taxi%20Tests , Are you telling me you think this is my point of view? Are you telling me your sources are better than this one? Amraamny (talk) 22:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

The Plant List edit

Thank you for promoting this new article, but it does not belong as a link at the List of plant orders, nor is it of importance comparable to the ICBN or works of Linnaeus as suggested by your edit to the Botany template. That template is only for the most core topics in the field of botany, and a newly created on-line reference full of errors does not qualify as a core topic. --EncycloPetey (talk) 23:07, 3 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Selling Wikipedia edit

I like your topic you postulated at the 'policy pump' about Jimbo and the Board quickly "cashing in and cashing out" to reap some massive profits... I've harbored such suspicions for a long time. Anytime you want to discuss this with me just hit me up. I'm always on line somewhere. Pillhead Maddox (talk) 23:03, 16 January 2011 (UTC).Reply

Proposed deletion of List of knife discussion forums edit

The article List of knife discussion forums has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

List does not meet WP:GNG

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.Yazan (talk) 18:11, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I thought this might happen. See if you can find third party print sources to some of these forums. None of the forums have an article per se. I know Blade Magazine has published articles on some of the Forums (I've written 2 articles for Blade about one, myself ans another for SWAT Magazine). Without notability they can kill your list. I'll see what I can find this evening.--Mike - Μολὼν λαβέ 23:03, 28 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Bottle Jack.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bottle Jack.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 17:14, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Bottle jack edit

That image will be deleted in a few days, I'm afraid there's no way around that. As for the replacement, you're welcome to find a higher quality free image. As for the merger discussion, that was really more of a courtesy to see if there are any objections. If you're ok with it, I'd rather go ahead and merge the entry as a new section to the main jack article. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 17:42, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Please see Talk:Jack (device)#bottle jack merger. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 17:49, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Please stop edit-warring to add that picture back in. I can understand you find our policy on non-free images a bit difficult to comprehend (many people do), but I can assure you the policy is crystal-clear on such issues. We reject non-free images not only once a satisfactory free replacement has actually been found, but we reject it already once we know that such a replacement could be created. Since anybody can go and take a photograph of a bottle jack, this is an open-and-shut case. In order to prevent further disruption, I may have only the choice of either blocking you from editing, or deleting the image a bit earlier than we normally would; I think I'll choose the second option. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
