Absence of edit summaries

Please do not misinterpret what sources say

Your change of the genre on How Long Do You Think It's Gonna Last? has been reverted. The Exclaim! review begins, "Indie rock has had a falling out with the guitar riff", which indicates that Vernon and Dessner are better known for putting out indie rock records elsewhere. It's not explicitly saying the album is indie rock; at most, as described in the prose, it has elements of indie rock because of the duo's backgrounds. The album is discussed and sourced below as being pop, from the Slant review. The Exclaim! review also calls it "pop-friendly" later on. It looks as if you have wilfully misinterpreted what a source says, so please don't do this in future. Thanks. Ss112 12:21, 26 August 2021 (UTC)

Recent reverts of your edits

I reverted your recent edits on Taylor Swift album articles, this one here for instance. Please read the edit summary and understand it. The certifications table is supposed to represent both sales and units, not just units on both columns, which is redundant when actual sales is available. Regards. I have noticed that in some articles such as WAP, the editors presented the pure and certified sales separately. In my opinion, the order y'all are following makes the readers get baffled by the concept of pure and certified sales. Moreover, it's totally redundant as we need to put the note template in every pure sales in order to indicate it's a pure sales, which is too wordy in a sense. Accolades

I have reverted your edits to House of Gucci. Why are you sorting film accolades by year? If a film is released in 2021, awards will be given in 2021 or 2022. This is a certainty so there is no reason to sort by year. That is why we sort by date. It makes it more specific and allows editors to link to certain award articles. Here's an example. "Walking on Air"

Hey. I see you reverted my changes, so I'll try to explain my point of view. TopHit has a tendency to put out to their airplay circulation random songs or already released promotional singles, so it simply doesn't make sense to clasify all of those songs as true singles. Just look at "Off the Table", "Nature Boy" or just most of promo singles by Britney Spears, what is different between them and "Walking on Air"? "Freak" by Doja Cat was briefly clisified as a single with the same reason as here, however it was revoked, and rightfully so, hence promo singles can also receive airplay. infsai (talkie? And I've seen you making many edits yourselves without adding an appropriate source, and the edit summaries as well. Please stop that. Add sources for all the claims and explain your edit in your edit summary. Also, regarding the Billboard source you cited, it still is not a good source because the claim must be made inside the source body, not only the source title. But I'll let it pass by adding a tag. The media don't always agree with your hard definition of an EP based on your opinion of how many minutes long it should be. Please keep the media viewpoint in mind, as Wikipedia is a summary of published information. Individual editors who disagree don't get to change how the media portray the topic. Midnight Rain

I looked at the article you submitted at AfC for "Midnight Rain". I would like to promote it into article space, but the issue is that most of the substantive sources being referenced are reviews of the album the song is on. We have a guideline that album reviews generally do not count towards a song's notability for inclusion as a Wikipedia article. I think that guideline is silly but that's what we have. Therefore, the article needs multiple independent sources that provide significant coverage of the song that are not album reviews in order to meet the notability requirements of Wikipedia:GNG. Please don't list singles released on the same day as if they were a double A-side

Hello. I know you made this edit two months ago now, but it should be said: please do not do this. Listing two separate songs released as singles on the same day in the same entry implies they were released on the same download/streaming page or as a double A-side when it's pretty well known "Castle on the Hill" and "Shape of You" absolutely were not part of the same single. They had separate cover artworks and separate listings on Apple Music/iTunes, Spotify, etc. Please do not replicate this anywhere else as it is an incorrect way to list singles. Thank you.
