Proposed deletion of Manatsu no Magic edit

Hello, Xenobia4. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Manatsu no Magic, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

The page follows Wikipedia guidelines. All the information is properly sourced from confirmed sources around the internet. Lead is a very well-known group, with chart topping singles and albums to this day. The purpose of Wikipedia is to spread information from around the world and the page follows through.Xenobia4 (talk) 05:16, 19 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Lead edit

I noticed you reverted my edits regarding Lead (band) and wanted to check in with your edits to avoid WP:EDITWAR. I don't believe my edits were not constructive. I would like to discuss them to reach a consensus.

  • Referring members by their first name: it is more formal articles tend to refer to members by their last names (see WP:NCBIO) unless you can provide a reliable source that they use their first names as stage names. (See WP:RELIABLE for information.)
  • Nakadoi leaving the band does not need its own section. It can be summarized in a paragraph and integrated into the "History" section. Giving its own section gives it undue weight (see WP:UNDUE).
  • Member colors is considered WP:FAN unless you can provide a reliable source that it is important to the article.
  • I mostly did a copy-edit by removing repeated information or detailed descriptions (see WP:FLOWERY).

If you have any questions, feel free to ping me or leave a message on my talk page. lullabying (talk) 04:25, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

The members refer to each other and to their fans using their first names during tours, various short movies they've released and their "home movies" posted to their official YouTube. Hiroki leaving the group was a large step and change for the group and his departure is relevant to the band's history. Given that he had been planning to leave the group for over a year, it's information that people reading the article should be made aware of when reviewing the group. The departure of a founding member is something that cannot be glossed over for the article to have thorough and informative material.
Member color, as I have explained before, corresponds to "member edition" singles they have release throughout the years ("Hurricane", "Tokyo Fever", "Speed Star", etc.). Either backgrounds or colors of the titles refer to the member's given "image color." Xenobia4 (talk) 04:38, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
As stated on my talk page, you need to link a reliable source (i.e. a news article from a secondary source) that explicitly states information about their stage names and member colors, otherwise it's considered original research and is not allowed on Wikipedia. Also, Nakadoi leaving the group does not need its own section due to WP:UNDUE. Please do not remove any tags without discussing first. lullabying (talk) 10:38, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
In addition to this, you reverted my edits when I tried to use Template:nihongo to display Japanese names. I'm not sure I understand why. lullabying (talk) 18:17, 7 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I had initially edited your change when you removed image color, then went back to add the template to the names (I may have gotten it backwards and I apologize for that - still knew to the template). The group had mentioned image color in their earlier years, but it will take a bit of researching to relocate it (the interview was done when the internet wasn't as popular, let alone any musical group outside of the United States and Canada). I'm sure I can track it down, given enough time.
Also, when you removed the information on founding member Hiroki Nakadoi, you failed to integrate the appropriate information in the given year, which was the main reason I reverted it. I will edit the page to introduce that information in the given sub-heading, instead of its own section. Thank you for understanding and I apologize for the incorrect format. Cool, thanks for letting me know. lullabying (talk) 19:51, 10 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
