Proposed deletion of Alvin Anson edit

The article Alvin Anson has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. - CHAMPION (talk) (contributions) (logs) 08:56, 27 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

December 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Zackmann08. Thank you for your recent contributions to Alvin Anson. I noticed that when you added the image to the infobox, you added it as a thumbnail. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks! Speedy deletion nomination of Alvin Anson edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Alvin Anson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. December 2016 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you recently removed maintenance templates from Alvin Anson. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Proposed deletion of Xelzeta edit

Hello, Xelzeta. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Xelzeta, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Meatsgains (talk) 15:13, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Xelzeta for deletion edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Xelzeta is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Xelzeta until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Chrissymad ❯❯❯ Talk 15:13, 7 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Derrick Mapagu edit

The article Derrick Mapagu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article topic lacks significant coverage from reliable, independent sources. (?) It had no meaningful hits in a video game reliable sources custom Google search. There is slightly more for his main game, Flippy Bottle Extreme, but even that wold be unreliably sourced.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. czar 19:24, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:DerrickMapagu2.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:DerrickMapagu2.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. czar 19:24, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Christopher Ruiz edit

The article Christopher Ruiz has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article, chances created with Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Dearth of significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources. (?) All of its sourcing is unreliable or primary.

In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. czar 19:39, 10 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

"Reliable" on WP means having a reputation for fact-checking and editorial discretion. Almost all of the sources in this article do not meet this qualification. czar 16:47, 11 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this edit to Christopher Ruiz, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you.   Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at User talk:Czar. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been undone.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. The1337gamer (talk) 17:42, 11 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please stop attacking other editors, as you did on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Derrick Mapagu. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. bonadea contributions talk 15:17, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  · Salvidrim! ·  15:28, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

This user's request to be unblocked to request a change in username has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without a good reason (see the blocking policy). Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • This username change is fine, and I don't see evidence of promotional editing in the recent past. I have a larger concern with the personal attacks and general incivility. Based on our policy on conditional unblocks, I'm willing to unblock you if you agree that any instance of incivility or personal attacks in the next three months will result in an indefinite block. Please respond with your acknowledgement (or rejection) of this condition, and ping me using the {{re}} template so I see it. ~ Rob13Talk 01:09, 16 December 2016 (UTC)Reply

Final warning on personal attacks edit

Reiterating what others have said - your comments at AFD contain far too many personal attacks. Focus on content, not editors. Not only is it a policy you need to follow, but, since you haven't seemed to catch on to it yet, I'll point it out to you - it only serves to irritate other editors, not persuade them. Even if it was allowed, its certainly not helping you. Keep it to discussion about sources and meeting notability requirements, and leave out all of your grievances of any and all editors who disagree with your stance. Any more responses based around personal attacks or just rambling on about other editors is going to get you blocked from editing again. Sergecross73 msg me 16:32, 12 December 2016 (UTC)Reply
