An exciting opportunity to get involved! edit

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 06:08, 23 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Contest update edit

Well, it's just 1 day until the contest begins, so I thought I'd check in with everyone and make sure you're all ready to go. First I'd like everyone to check out the main contest page and read over the rules and the scoring system. If you have any final questions or concerns, make them known on the talk page. Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Contest/History/2009 is the scoreboard that will be updated, you can watchlist it. Check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Contest/Submissions which shows how your submission page should look. Another example is at Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Contest/Submissions Example, and your personal page should be listed at the footer of the page, which is also at Wikipedia:WikiProject Aviation/Contest/Users. Again, take any questions to the contest talk page.

Good luck! - Trevor MacInnis contribs 21:01, 30 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Contest scoring change edit

I've realized there may be an issue with the scoring system, and I have a solution, which I've explained here. Feedback is requested. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 23:57, 5 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Schreibweise der Beschriftung auf (Spelling of Caption on) Friedenskirche_potsdam_sarkophag2.jpg edit

Hello!

I do not speak much or very good German, but, after I write this message in English (my native language), I am going to try to write it in German. It will be practice for me in learning this language, which is new to me.

On the page Friedenskirche_potsdam_sarkophag2.jpg, in your English translation of the caption, you have misspelled the word "crypt". You wrote "crytp" instead. I thought you might like to know- whether you choose to change it or not is, of course, your choice.

Now in German!:

Hallo!

Auf der Siete Friedenskirche_potsdam_sarkophag2.jpg, in der Übersetzung auf Englisch, Sie bedeutete das englische Wort "crypt" falsch. Sie schrieb "crytp". Ich dachte du würden wissen wollen, auch wenn du nicht dagegen tun.

(Okay, I cheated, I didn't know the last sentence and looked it up on Google Translate. My German is probably better than the German in the sentence I translated using Google!)

German language reference verification request edit

Hi! Could you please take a look at the article on The Aviation Herald. There is a German language source at "Austrian aviation" that someone has used as a source in the article without providing inline citations (there is a translation, but for reliability reasons we should have the original German as source). If you can, would you please verify that the unsourced claims are backed up in that original German language source. You can provide those refs in the article, or simply let me know here. It would be great to have that original German language source in this article in order to establish its relevance. Yours, Finnusertop (talk) 20:47, 17 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Done. -- Wo st 01 (talk | rate) 10:19, 18 July 2014 (UTC)Reply
