Adoption....

About a year ago you offered to adopt me and very kindly wrote me an extensive introduction. Unfortunately, I've only just read it because I got completely snowed under on other matters. I would like still like to edit, but understand that you are taking a break. Therefore, I shall seek re-adoption from another. However, I would like to thank you for your advice.

Adoption Offer

I'd be very greatful if you'd adopt me! I have been doing a lot of work and hope to do a lot more, but I certainly understand your situation. I have a great deal of work to do, as well as exams, so your conditions are fine with me. Thanks! Skinny87 (talk) 13:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re:Flaming Doctor Pepper

Thanks for the update. I deleted the article based on a request from another user, but now I see it's not that obvious. I can move it back if you think it's preferable. ... discospinster talk 21:27, 9 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

A Google search shows about 32,000 results for "Flaming Dr. Pepper" (and most of the results in the first few pages use the full stop), but only about 1,200 for "Flaming Doctor Pepper". I would suggest moving it back to Flaming Dr. Pepper with a note on the talk page explaining why it has the full stop. Thoughts? ... discospinster talk 00:20, 10 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, how can I argue with that logic?!? You make some great points. I will move the article to Flaming Doctor Pepper and post our convo on the talk page. But I think we should keep Flaming Dr Pepper as a redirect, as not everyone uses a full stop after abbreviations like Dr or Mr. ... discospinster talk 02:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for bringing your expertise to bear on a surprising dispute. (I only noticed the article while pursuing a sock puppet who had his own stake in the conflict.) Personal user category

I've nominated Category:User:Willscrlt for deletion at this location, as there's extensive precedent against allowing personal user categories such as this. You may find this link useful. Regards, BencherliteTalk 16:59, 1 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Beer category decision

A discussion has been opened on changes that have been made to the existing Beer category system. The changes reverse the decision made by the Project in April 2006. The changes were based on agreement by only two people, and by a discussion that took place outside the Beer Project. There may be some merit in the changes, and to prevent future conflict it is important that there is some discussion of the matter. If you're interested, please see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Beer#Brewery_cats. SilkTork *YES! 18:09, 14 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Herbs and spices

Hello, I saw your comment at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Food_and_drink/Herbs_and_Spices_task_force#Herbs_.26_spices_template and was wondering if you were going to vote one way or the other. The change to consolidate herbs and spices with herb and spice mixtures was implemented without consensus, and thus your vote would help to indicate what the consensus is. User boxes

Hello Will, I have recently moved several of the user boxes you created to the main space from your user page. You did a great job in their creation and I just wanted to make using them easier. --Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 18:17, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry: I did not move them, I meant to say I copied them to the main article space. I have left the originals exactly where I found them.
The ones I am talking about are the Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Cream and Wikipedia:WikiProject Herbs and spices user boxes. they are here: Template:Brr2 ubx, Template:H&S2 ubx and Template:H&S3 ubx

WPFOOD template

You missed some stuff in changing the {{WPFOOD}} template, but I got them for you. Stuff like the project name and link as well as the name to display when nested. --Jeremy ( Blah blah...) 09:05, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

it:Utente:Willscrlt/meta/Sidebar

Hi Will, is there a way to make the Categoria:Utente:Willscrlt disappear from that page? It keeps showing up in the WantedCategories page on it.wiki, so everyday a number of patrollers stumble up on it while doing their daily dirt work. Creating the category won't do the trick, as personal user categories are not allowed on it.wiki. Thanks in advance, Ary29 (talk) 17:46, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I moved the conversation over to Meta and replied there. Thanks for mentioning it personally here before people got upset! --Willscrlt (Talk) 21:16, 10 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pretzels - Main Page Redesign

Hi Willscrlt, You left some really useful comments on my Main Page redesign on the 11th September 2008. Since then, my design has been updated and some of them no longer make sense!

To keep my proposal's section from getting clogged with old commentary I've been clearing out remarks on older layouts. I've marked the comments I think you will no longer stand by with strikethrough, but not deleted them - please drop me a note to my talk to say if you're ok for me to remove them or not.

Many thanks Willscrlt; I hope you'll be back soon to help out with my latest proposal! Your comments are much appreciated. PretzelsTalk! 15:57, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Main Page Redesign

Hey Willscrlt, I've updated my Main Page Redesign proposal substantially, and you had some really great points last time you commented - hopefully you'll see the effects of your suggestions. It would be great if you could comment on the new proposal, I'm really proud of how it's shaping up. Many thanks -- PretzelsTalk! 08:42, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
