I wanted to inform other Wiki users of my attempt to edit and update the Media Systems Dependency Theory page. Theory information has already been provided by other users; however, sources were not cited properly. In an attempt to maintain some of what is already there, I'm going to work through each section separately, updating the source list as I go. With the exception of the basic definition of the theory, nothing else will be changed on the live page for a few more weeks. You can see my work in my sandbox. If anyone has objections or would like to contribute, please, feel free to contact me. Thank you!

Hi Nicole, it's been a pleasure engaging in the PC/Mac debate with you! Rk384 (talk) 00:36, 14 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Survey edit

Hi Wikirulesmylife!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! Hi Nicole, I am Xiaosong Chen, one of your group member in Wiki review. I found that on your wiki site, the theory has few or no article links to it. Also, the contents of the theory there are so general that needs some details or specific explanations.

Reflection 1 edit

Hi Nicole, Great start to compiling information on your theory. I agree with Xiaosong Chen, that there were not a lot of links on the page. However, I looked at your Sandbox and saw that you have a number of sections relating to the Media Systems Dependency Theory. Great start and I look forward to seeing how the page evolves. License tagging for File:A Model of Media Dependency Relationships.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading File:A Model of Media Dependency Relationships.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 08:07, 7 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Media systems dependency theory page feedback edit

Nicole,

I see you have your diagram up and in place; I also see that ImageTaggingBot has paid a visit to your user page, but it looks like everything is in order now.

I think you may have a typo in your Basic Framework section: "attainment them"

I'd say you still have some opportunities for addition article links; here are a few that jumped out at me:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_environment http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_relationships http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paradigm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-positivist

Also, see here about the edits you made while you weren't logged in; the reciprocal linking suggestion seems like your best bet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Help_desk/Archive_44#I_forgot_to_log_in.3B_how_do_I_claim_edits_I_made_before_logging_in.3F
