Re: John Hewitt edit

I didn't remove the {{hangon}} tag altogether; I simply moved it to the article's main page from its talk page. That tag belongs on the article page- I frequently see hangon tags placed on talk pages of articles that were already deleted, but the talk page still exists because the hangon tag was placed there. By putting it directly underneath the speedy deletion tag, an administrator can very clearly see that someone objects to the speedy deletion proposal. -- Kicking222 00:10, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

No problem. I honestly can't understand why someone would not consider this person notable. I mean, his notability is asserted right in the first sentence! -- Kicking222 00:15, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
First off, don't worry about taking up my time- it's not like I'm doing anything particularly vital (browsing the net + waiting for Simpsons to start does not = important). Fortunately, an administrator just decided that the article was sufficiently notable, so it looks like we're in the clear! -- Kicking222 00:27, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Image:Elevador Lacerda.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Elevador Lacerda.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Chowbok 05:25, 27 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Liberty tax logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Liberty tax logo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:55, 2 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Animatronics edit

Hi, I saw you recently edited the Animatronics article. Thank you. I think your edit could be further improved by using more common wording as the term Portmanteau is rather obscure. If you could think of a better way of stating the same thing but in a way thats easier to understand.. Also, I've been working quite a bit on this article to prepare it to be nominated as a featured article. If you'd liuke to continue working on the article as well I just want to ask that you please review and discuss your edits in its peer review discussion which can be found here [1]. I actually just got into an accident yesterday and only have the use of 1 arm at the moment so whereas I had planned to get this finished up this week, I may have to postpone for a couple weeks while my arm heals. If you'd like to assist me in addressing issues mentioned during its review it would be very appreciated.David Condrey (talk) 21:24, 15 October 2014 (UTC)Reply
