Welcome! edit

Hello, WarpingSpacetime, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was WARP Reactor, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! Hello Fade258,
As you prognosticated . . . The WARP Reactor article has been nominated for deletion and it appear that WP policies may be in conflict with one other (i.e. WP:SOURCE "reliable sources" vs WP:SPS "self-published sources" (conference presentation) by the respective Subject Matter Expert (SME) in addition to SME's reliable sources such as peer-reviewed papers that are directly relevant to topic/field and referenced in the WP article). Is it too late to take you up on your offer to help? Is it too soon to ask help from WP Administrator? At the very least, can you help in copying article back over to my user page if deleted?
Thank you in advance for your help and guidance! WarpingSpacetime (talk) 22:28, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
This is YOUR talk page, so Fade258 isn't going to know that you've posted here unless you ping them. You do that by using the syntax: [[User:Username]]. I'll do that here, and you can look at the code for the page to see what it looks like. Fade258, would you care to weigh in?
On the original topic - there's no conflict between Wikipedia policies. The issue with the conference presentation is that a) it's not visible to anyone who can't log into the page, so we can't even establish that it exists other than taking your word for it and b) it's not independent of the topic of the article. If I self publish an article on accelerator physics, I have a PhD in the field, so it's possibly an acceptable source on the topic of ACCELERATOR PHYSICS, although not preferred. On the other hand, if I self publish an article on "PianoDan's Patented Cyclotron Method" that would NOT be an acceptable source, because it would be a self published article about MY OWN WORK. Reliable sources need to be independent of the topic of the article. The relevant policy is WP:IS. PianoDan (talk) 22:41, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks PianoDan for your explanation and perspective. However, the conference presentation in question is available to all online, one must only scroll to bottom of linked reference and email organization for permission to access. WarpingSpacetime (talk) 23:16, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

100% NOT a hoax! This is a real novel fusion concept which uses known physics to accelerate multi-mega-amp-level ion rings to relativistic energies for magneto-inertial-fusion, flash radiography and accessing new high energy density physics regimes. Please review all physics and scientific references before erroneously claiming hoax and pushing article deletion. Also, calls for this article deletion from others appears to be a conflict of interest since proposed concept is much more cost effective than other high energy particle physics programs which others may be associated. User:WarpingSpacetime/sandbox edit

Hello
I have disabled the categories in the draft article in your sandbox; I note this was done before, and you re-instated them; be advised that, per WP:DRAFTNOCAT (and WP:USERNOCAT), "Drafts...are not articles, and thus do not belong in content categories"; They should be disabled by "wrapping them in a draft categories template", or edited by "inserting a colon character to link to the category instead (e.g. change [[Category:... to [[:Category:..." (as has been done) . They should not be re-instated in the draft article in your sandbox. I also note the categories in the posted article default to Draft: That should be changed now that it is in the mainspace, should it survive the AfD discussion. AfD: Wave Accelerated Ring Pinch Reactor edit

On the subject of the AfD, it would probably help a bit if the article read a little less like a hoax (the link to the Star Trek technology page doesn’t help) and if it was more understandable to the lay reader. Maybe explain (or link to pages explaining) unfamiliar concepts, like "Wave Acceleration", and "Ring Pinch", for a start. I also note that the diagrams were posted by you at Commons, and labelled as own work; did you draw them yourself, or get them from somewhere? It’d be useful to provide the source on the Commons pages, if so... Regards, Xyl 54 (talk) 21:53, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
