Speedy deletion nomination of Institute for International Law and Politics

edit

A tag has been placed on Institute for International Law and Politics, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. archanamiya · talk 04:19, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

The article Institute for International Law and Politics has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article fails to establish notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. archanamiya · talk 04:25, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages, as you did with Institute for Law, Science and Global Security. Doing so won't stop the discussion from taking place. You are, however, welcome to comment about the proposed deletion on the appropriate page. Thank you. archanamiya · talk 23:50, 13 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

You obviously didn't read the template. It clearly stats that if you are removing the template, you must say why in either the edit summary or the talk page, both of which you failed to do. Also, writing article's about oneself or one's group/organization is against Wikipedia policy. For these reasons, I am restoring the deletion template. Please refrain from removing it again. If you want, you can make a subpage on your userpage to develop this article on, and then create it once it's ready.

Thanks! —archanamiya · talk 04:29, 14 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on Institute for Law, Science and Global Security requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Anthony Clark Arend may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Trafficking in Persons]], published "Human Dignity and the Future of Global Institutions".<ref>{http://press.georgetown.edu/book/georgetown/human-dignity-and-future-global-institutions]</ref> The book seeks to advance an international dialogue about the promotion of human dignity.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 16:32, 31 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
