April 2022 edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

I understand the block that people might think I'm doing sockpuppetry but I ensure you that I am not. I use multiple accounts purely because I have multiple chrome accounts, and also some accounts are old and I want to start fresh. I did not realise that multiple accounts were discouraged. None of my edits are in anyway bad or malevolent, but it is true that some editors get on my nerves and I tend to lash out, especially if they think its vandalism when it is not. I understand this but my mindset is stubborn and I tend to think my edits are better. In the future, i will list my other accounts, but I did not think that was required since I didn't believe that it would cause mistrust. In the future I will refrain from lashing out, but I also believe some Wikipedia editors must refrain from labelling everything as "abuse" or "vandalism" but in reality they are bullying new editors with their administrator privileges. Thus, I will be requesting that my other accounts to be unblocked as well, and in the future, I will only be using this account.

Decline reason:

You have misused multiple accounts to engage in block evasion, so the claim to have not engaged in so claim to have not engaged in sockpuppetry is blatantly false. The request of the request does instill confidence that you won't repeat the behaviour that led to you being blocked in the first place. Sir Sputnik (talk) 17:04, 1 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am requesting a second time to be unblocked in that I will not engage in sock puppetry and not engage in abusive or misleading edits.Vpha (talk) 13:38, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Confirmed block evasion just yesterday. This clearly demonstrates you aren't willing to abide by our policies and guidelines. Your best bet is to go at least six months with zero edits, then apply under WP:SO. Yamla (talk) 16:41, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

So just confirming, am I able to wait out the six months and then be unblocked/unbanned from Wikipedia?Vpha (talk) 17:23, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Not necessarily. Please reread WP:SO; it's not a guarantee. --Yamla (talk) 17:29, 5 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Dear concerned parties. I am deeply sorry about my ignorance and naivety. I tried to write an appeal via an unblock page and the appeal key for it is "687d8c29632e3f4b74911aadfb8507fe854aaab918af45e2b5a7d3813949e0febcb1a6f97d4d6005b91a188cef6dafecdc37825db540407c82916105bd457e1e". In case that didn't process through though, I am also writing here to express my unreserved apologies. I managed to find the password to this account and wanted to state that I am sorry for the wrongdoings that I have incurred. In the beginning, I often edited on other accounts or on IP addresses because one: I would forget the password to this account and make a new one, or two: I was too lazy to log in, especially if I was on a different device and would just edit on the IP address instead. I understand these are all wrong and I understand that some of the past comments I made were also very wrong of me. I wish to condone for these errors and wish for the account to be unblocked. If the account ever gets unblocked, I wish for assistance in linking my other accounts to this accounts as well, if that is possible. Yours sincerely Vpha (talk) 15:10, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Confirmed block evasion as 11a22b33c44d55e. As such, you are now considered banned by the community under WP:3X. No admin is free to unilaterally lift the block. Had you gone six months without block evasion, we'd be having an entirely different conversation now, but you worked hard to demonstrate you haven't the slightest intention of following Wikipedia's policies. Request reason:

Dear to whom it may concern. I know and understand my wrongdoings. As such I will do anything, anything to rectify this mistake so that I may get unbanned or unblocked. I am deeply sorry for this grave error and I am hoping to rectify this grave mistake. Please consider this appeal so that I may do what I love again, which is to share and edit on Wikipedia. Most of my edits, except for the ones that were wrong, have been of good faith edits. I will definitely uphold to 6 months of non-interference this time around, if that is what it takes. Please consider. Also, please reply on what I must do to be considered unbanned/unblocked. Please, I only ever wanted to help.

I will adhere to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. However, I would need assistance in linking my other accounts to this account, which is suspected to be the original one. In terms of how I would improve Wikipedia, I would do edits on topics related to Asia, Vietnam, Sinosphere, and whatever other articles that genuinely pique my interest. I would also go ahead and delete the joking/silly talk pages of my other accounts as well, if I can access them or an admin can. The truth was I was too eager to hop on Wikipedia to edit it again, not understanding and not realising the severe nature of what "sockpuppetry" (of which I admit I am at fault at and will never do again) really means. I promise that this will not recur again.

Sincerely and with deepest regrets and apologies. Vpha (talk) 15:40, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Your promises cannot be trusted, we will need to see evidence of this- such as you going six months with no sock puppetry. At that time, if you are successful, you can make an unblock request for community discussion(as no one may unilaterally lift this block). No request will succeed before six months; you need to show that you can abide by guidelines. I highly recommend that you not pursue this further until May. 331dot (talk) 19:59, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
