The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 edit

Sorry to double up on this, I do think this page should be deleted! However, I have made a mistake, and would appreciate if anyone could help me please. I created the page 'The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918)'. If I may say so myself, it is a great page! :) There was a previous page on the subject, but I completely rewrote it and added a much better source, more accurate figures and way more info than the original. I redirected the original to my new page, and it is still standing, so I'm guessing it is acceptable. However! There are three types of Honour Cross. I created a page called Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer, and wanted to redirect this to my new main page. I was then going to create two more pages, concerning the other two types of Honour Crosses, and again direct them to the main page. I wanted to do this in case anyone just typed in one of the three types of Honour Cross and they would be directed to the main page.

When I tried to redirect my new page titled Ehrenkruez für Frontkämpfer to my main page, The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918), it said I couldn't, as there was already a page called that. I got confused and tried shortening the redirect request to The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, but it just ended up back at Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer. Can anyone help me please, to redirect the page Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer to my main page? I was also trying to redirect the page called Hindenburg Cross to my main page, but I can't do that either. I would also like to know how to do this, as the Hindenburg Cross is the common name for the The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918). My page offers a much more complete history than the Hindenburg Cross page. I also want to know how to redirect the two other types of Honour Cross to the main page.

I'm sorry I couldn't work it out myself. Once I master it, I would like to start writing a lot of pages for wikipedia. I am enjoying the very small amount of editing I have been doing, but would like to start writing complete articles along the line of my first one.

I've moved The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkriegs 1914/1918) to The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918, which is where it belongs. Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer properly redirects to that page as well. I'm not sure why you had trouble creating the redirect in the first place. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 13:41, 27 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
