Hi there. Idiot edit

You're an idiot, Australia isn't a colony of the UK. Typical whiny Pom behaviour. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.108.248.24 (talk) 22:48, 22 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Oh but it is, since I'm Australian and know first hand.

It was... a long time ago... in the same way that the USA was once a series of european colonies and native states, and a large proportion of the world was once under the rule of the British Empire, and the Roman Empire before that, and the Greek empire before that, but we don't go around calling Britain a Roman Colony do we? Your comments have the potential to offend, in addition to being inaccurate, take it to youtube or something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.18.86.9 (talk) 00:26, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

No, the governor general can sack our elected government/Prime Minister, the governor general only answers to the queen of the UK. Therefore Australia = British Colony.
