Welcome!
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

  • Please respect others' copyrights; do not copy and paste the contents from webpages directly.
  • Please use a neutral point of view when editing articles; this is possibly the most important Wikipedia policy.
  • If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
  • Do not add unreasonable contents into any articles, such as: copyrighted text, advertisement messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Adding such unreasonable information or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism, and will result in your account being blocked.

The Wikipedia Tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. Again, welcome!--WillMak050389 17:46, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I am confused by some of your recent edits. While I want to assume that you are doing these things for a reason, moving a page while it is the featured article and blanking Quebec are odd things to do, and could be considered vandalism. Please explain yourself before continuing. Thank you. EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 21:43, 31 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your message. Yes, we have plenty of security measures in place, so it's very hard to screw up Wikipedia. In the future, please ask someone what will happen rather than trying it out yourself. ;o) Cheers, EWS23 (Leave me a message!) 04:26, 12 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

It was actually me, someone had suggested it failed the notability A7 / fails WEB - same thing in short. Did the usual google test and google must have been going nuts, first result was Wikipedia and a grand total of 50 results. No afd notice on the talk so spoof, it went to /dev/null land. Apparently multiple google's are needed at times, that was the weirdest thing. In any case, I still think it fails criteria (we deleted and salted ED after all.... the two seem about the same in terms of trolling factors) so go figure. -- Tawker 05:01, 8 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Peace Tower, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Miesianiacal (talk) 01:17, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism

edit

Please dont vandalize articles, as you did with Clay Shirky. its not amusing, it wastes time, and doesnt help you establish any sort of good reputation. im sort of blunt about this, but im not an admin, im not going to act further on this, and i hope you can just grow up and move on. I look forward to excellent contributions from you in the future. happy editing!Mercurywoodrose (talk) 06:24, 8 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Light, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rods (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits, as you did to John Whiteside Parsons. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you are given a good deal of freedom in what you write.
