Your contributed article, UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Alexandermcnabb (talk) 07:57, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Sam buxton edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Sam buxton, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Duplicate articles edit

Hello, Joe. Welcome to Wikipedia. I notice that you've been creating articles that are already covered by existing Wikipedia articles, such as UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office and The Churchill War Rooms. While for the former article it is arguable whether the FCDO should have an article on its former iteration, for the Churchill War Rooms, the article you wrote was not on its former iteration: it was the same subject. Please search within Wikipedia to see if the articles you're writing already exist. Sometimes, those articles may exist at what may seem like strange titles – if you feel that Wikipedia:Article titles is not fulfilled by those articles, you can request a move. If the article is at the appropriate title, you can help make things easier for editors and readers by creating a redirect. I hope that this helps. Sdrqaz (talk) 08:33, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Damex Group edit

A tag has been placed on Damex Group, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, Videographer Joe 1. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:29, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

July 2023 edit

Hello Videographer Joe 1. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Videographer Joe 1. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Videographer Joe 1|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Seraphimblade Talk to me 10:08, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hi All,
I think you are mistaken I was not paid by Damex or anybody to write this article or another articles, I saw they did not have a page and wanted to be the first one to do it as well as writing a couple more on topics I was interested in.
Thank you
Joe Videographer Joe 1 (talk) 10:14, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Then how would you describe your relationship to Damex? You've now created at least three different copies of this article, so you seem to be pretty keen to get this published. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:23, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
PS: Oh, and also this Draft:Sam buxton, on the founder of Damex. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:25, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think I don't quite believe what you're saying there. But if what you're saying is true, it shouldn't be a problem for you to find something completely unrelated to Damex to edit about, should it? Seraphimblade Talk to me 11:15, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi Seraphimblade and DoubleGrazing are you able to help me amend the articles so are are published fairly, being unbiased and true Videographer Joe 1 (talk) 13:35, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
PPS: And we now also have Draft:Damex Pro League (draftified from the main space by me, as it was completely unreferenced). -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:45, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Articles with no references and no evidence of notability edit

Can you please stop publishing articles that have no or insufficient references. All information must be verifiable from reliable published sources, and the article subject must be demonstrably notable, which again requires multiple independent and reliable secondary sources with significant coverage of the subject. Until such time as you are able to ensure that articles comply with notability and verifiability rules, I suggest you submit your article drafts for pre-publication review via the AFC mechanism. Thank you. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:43, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
