Chitra Ramanathan edit

ALL-CAPS comes across as shouting. Don't do that. Also, if you want to make the claim the painting was aquired in an auction, you need a source. Kleuske (talk) 16:32, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of Interest? edit

Hi @Vertacool. I noticed that almost all your editing here on Wikipedia has been on the Chitra Ramanathan‎ article, which is unusual. If you are closely associated with the subject of that article, then you may have a conflict of interest and you need to be aware that Wikipedia has restrictive policies regarding such editing. Those policies are detailed at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Thank you. Indyguy (talk) 16:45, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

🙏 Please note that American wiki writers initially created this page with minimal info.
Thereupon, only factual info gathered has been added. Please note that all edits have since been provided on the subject to dated for the page. Vertacool (talk) 17:03, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
So are you saying that you are not closely associated with the subject? That the article was initially created with minimal information and that only "factual" information has been added since then doesn't affect whether Wikipedia policies about conflict of interest need to be followed. Indyguy (talk) 17:37, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Page was created and published by American wiki writers in June 2022, but few sourced materials included. Added material is solely for factual reference purposes with on already published sources. No conflicts intended. 🙏 Vertacool (talk) 19:15, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
From the way you are evading my question, it appears that you are indeed closely associated with Chitra Ramanathan. Is that correct? Indyguy (talk) 00:42, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Please understand, nor evading anything. Just was adding some references on the page which did not have much materials upon being published for some months. If any problem, please feel free to make changes. Thanks. Vertacool (talk) 01:58, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Also it was a paid publication after the wiki writers’s invitation. 2600:1700:2988:8090:6913:BD37:CE5F:E2C9 (talk) 02:01, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
The page is indeed a paid publication that was created on behalf of the subject by American Wiki Writers.
Reading discussions on conflict of interests on the wiki information/ help pages in response to your note, was previously unaware that providing previous publications’ links such as interviews and bios on the subject for the purpose of verifiable sources, was not clear as a conflict of interest.
Secondly, please note encouraging messages have been registered in response to and welcoming the edits from wiki. Hope this clarifies. Sorry for the misunderstanding and inconvenience. Thanks for understanding. In light of this, please note that no edits will be made in future.
However should new materials become published, what would be the procedure? Vertacool (talk) 04:31, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
By “new materials” meaning outside, art-related publications, since this will be my last edit on this page. Please advise. Thanks Vertacool (talk) 08:59, 16 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Chitra Ramanathan moved to draftspace edit

Thanks for your contributions to Chitra Ramanathan. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because articles created for pay should go through WP:AFC. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. – Joe (talk) 15:56, 19 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please note that no paid additions have been included except for urls to published materials by prominent art industry magazines and online sources that are ongoing into this year 2024.
The page was published by wikipedia after an invitation from some wiki writers in 2022, identifying notably criteria based on prominent articles and biographies featuring the artist such as the encyclopedic askart.com in 1999 askart.com and other art industry sources since 2004. A basic biodata material and identified references were published at that time. Further additions have solely been urls of websites relating to varied industry magazines as references with numbered citations.
The artist's portfolio of paintings has been the main criteria for reviews and published materials in connection with biographies, acquisitions of originals since 1999, and commissioned projects and academic connections since 2004. The latest recognition of her career milestone was through a nomination, whereby conferred with the International Tagore Award in January 2024, quote "For her outstanding contribution in the Field of Fine Arts". (https://www.instagram.com/tagore_awards/p/C14yqkdoibo and https://www.instagram.com/p/C57dts5J1MD/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link ).
The artist does not welcome paid materials for inclusion and therefore no "created for pay" articles are necessary being that there are numerous published sources in place.
Thereupon, designated wikipedia writers can please review of the draft for re-publication. Thanks. Asmbg3 (talk) 01:26, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
