I just edited my third page and I’m still not so used to Wikipedia. The box on the top of the site still tells me this: „The content of this submission includes material that does not meet Wikipedia's minimum standard for inline citations. Please cite your sources using footnotes. For instructions on how to do this, please see Referencing for beginners. Thank you.“ I did some footnotes on that biographic side as I did on the others. What is really missing to get it verified? Thank you in advance! Vaninnature (talk) 20:01, 29 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi @Vaninnature: I assume you're talking about the draft article at Draft:Roman Schomburg? To understand more about English Wikipedia's requirements for inline citations, click on the link here: WP:MINREF, and you can see when it is required that inline citations be used: when there is a direct quotation, when there is any statement which another editor has challenged, any other statement that you think might be challenged, or any controversial text about a living person. However, you should aim to include inline citations more than that if you want to write a good article. If you need more help on learning how to include references in an article or draft, have a look at Help:Referencing for beginners. To answer your question about what is needed for the draft to be approved, please make sure there are inline citations where required by WP:MINREF, and then submit it again for review. If you want to ask more about the requirements for AfC submissions, you can ask another question at the AfC help desk by clicking on the "ask us a question" link in the pink/red box at the top of the draft, or you can click this link to ask a question, or just leave a message on my talk page. Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Vaninnature. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Roman Schomburg, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 08:41, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Im not the actor himself, but a huge fan of his performance. I Made up a new article because I couldn’t found my original anymore. Vaninnature (talk) 08:56, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Okay, thanks for confirming. Just to explain, the reasons for asking: a) your earlier user name suggests you may be the actor in question; b) you've only edited this one article; and c) the photographs you've uploaded as your own work give the impression that you have a connection. But since you say you don't, let's leave it at that.
As for your earlier draft, it is at Draft:Roman Schomburg. I note that it was rejected, and you have subsequently resubmitted it for review, which is still pending. You should wait for the review process to complete, and not bypass it by publishing essentially the same article anyway.
Finally, just to say that if you want me to be alerted to your replies (on anything other than my talk page), you need to 'ping' me. Hope this helps, --DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:20, 13 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
