Welcome! edit

Although some prefer welcoming newcomers with cookies, I find fruit to be a healthier alternative.

Hello, VJ-Yugo, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like this place and decide to stay.

What are the four general rules at Wikipedia?
The four general rules are to respect your fellow Wikipedians, remain neutral, cite your sources, and to ignore a rule if it prevents you from improving or maintaining Wikipedia.
How do I edit a page?
  1. Click 'Edit this page' or 'Edit' on the top of the page that you want to edit.
  2. Make your changes in the edit window.
  3. Preview your changes by clicking the 'Show preview' button.
  4. Click the 'Save page' button.
See Wikipedia:How to edit a page for more detailed information.
Why can't I edit some particular pages?
Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them.
Where can I experiment with editing Wikipedia?
How do I create an article?
Please use the Article Wizard to create one, then add references to the article as explained below.
What are references, sources, and citations all about?
All claims must be supported by a book, website, or news organization independent of the subject of the article. The source must be reliable, meaning it cannot be a blog, MySpace page, or personal website. This makes it difficult, if not impossible, to prove that an inaccurate statement is true, and that it should stay in the article. The policy regarding this states that the statement has to be verifiable, not necessarily true. See Wikipedia:Verifiability for more information.
How do I insert a reference into an article?

For inline references:

  1. Do a search on Ask.com, Google, or your preferred search engine for the subject of the article that you want to put a reference in.
  2. Click 'Edit this page' or 'Edit' in the Wikipedia article, and insert a claim into that article stating a fact about the subject. Don't click the save button just yet.
  3. In the search you did in step 1, find a website that supports the claim you made in step 2. Highlight the address in the address bar (where it says http://www.some-website.com/some-page.htm).
  4. Go to the reference generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out the as many fields as you can. Then click 'Get reference wiki text'.
  5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text.
  6. In the article, after the claim you made in step 2, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied in step 5.
  7. If the article does not have a References, Footnotes, Notes, or Bibliography section, then add this below the See Also section and above the External Links section:

==References==
{{Reflist}}

For references put at the end of an article:

  1. Do a search on Ask.com, Google, or your preferred search engine for the subject of the article that you want to put a reference in.
  2. In the search, find a website that supports the claims made in the article. Highlight the address in the address bar (where it says http://www.some-website.com/some-page.htm).
  3. Go to the reference generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out the as many fields as you can. Then click 'Get reference wiki text'.
  4. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text.
  5. Go to the Wikipedia article. If the article does not have a References, Footnotes, Notes, or Bibliography section, then add this below the See Also section and above the External Links section:

==References==
{{Reflist}}

Then, add this after the {{Reflist}}, in a new line:

{{Refbegin}}
*Press paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) after this asterisk, then remove the <ref></ref> tags

{{Refend}}
What is a WikiProject, and how do I join one?
A WikiProject is a group of editors that are interested in improving the coverage of certain topics on Wikipedia. If you would like to help, add your username to the list that is on the bottom of the WikiProject page.
How do I format text on Wikipedia?

January 2011 edit

  Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Battle of Košare, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Denniss (talk) 16:49, 31 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Your recent edits edit

  Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:00, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

February 2011 edit

  Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Battle of Košare. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Denniss (talk) 08:10, 1 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

FR Yugoslav Strike Mission edit

I dont see point of this artical at all. It was war and Yugoslav army had used some aircrafts. Nothing spetial. Its ok, it was shot down. --Alexmilt (talk) 00:26, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I will make a page of that pilot, but on serbian wikipedia, becouse it would be much easier. Or we can make it togather. Do you like this idea? --Alexmilt (talk) 00:28, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Well, I dont know what others think but I have to tell you. My english is not good, but your is awful. I didnt understand what you wanted to say. Can you repeat it is serbian? --Alexmilt (talk) 00:39, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

I understand cyrilic and latin. But still google translation is not 100% good as it should be. What is your mother tongue? I will write that page on serbian wikipedia, but I dont know exacly when. --Alexmilt (talk) 00:51, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Pristina Standoff edit

That may have been true about the conversation, but James Blunt was the one who refused the order to attack the airport. However, it does still say that Mike Jackson also disagreed about WWIII starting. American Idiot1 (talk) 20:12, 7 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Balkan Sanction imposed edit

You are now subject to a sanction restricting you to 1RR per week on all Balkan-related articles. This sanction has been recorded in your block log and in the list of blocks and sanctions related to the Balkans. Violations of this sanction can lead to long-term blocks. Toddst1 (talk) 23:11, 11 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

You appear to be involved in an edit war, according to the reverts you have made on Battle of Košare. If you edit disruptively including breaking the three-revert rule you may be blocked without further warning.

  • If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors.
  • Alternatively you can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Stop repeating the edit-warring that you have recently been blocked for, or you will simply be blocked again - for longer -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 01:37, 26 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Blockd indefinitely edit

If the previous 2-week block for exactly the same behavior didn't cause you to stop, then there is no reason to believe that you understand what you're doing wrong. Until you do understand, and can convince an admin that it won't happen again, it is best for everyone involved if you find some other place to participate. --Floquenbeam (talk) 01:40, 26 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

By the way, this is an WP:ARBMAC block; read that page to see what your unblock options are, an {{unblock}} template isn't going to work. --Floquenbeam (talk) 01:41, 26 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppetry case edit

Your name has been mentioned in connection with a sockpuppetry case. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/VJ-Yugo for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to cases before editing the evidence page. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 23:50, 3 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Unblock edit

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have been blocked numerous times for disruptive editing and edit warring with users such as Bobrayner, Boing! Said Zebedee, and Denniss (I'm not complaining about them.). So I then proceeded to edit without putting valuable resources and then I had an indefinite block that I evidently didn't register. But I do not know what it means to not register, but I do understand it had something to do with the disruptive edits I made a couple month's back. Yes, I do understand my consequences and I wish to make it all up to you Wikipedia so that I won't cause further trouble and join the Wikipedia Union and talk my own opinions on the Discussion pages and place valuable resources, I will read the policies I promise and I will understand consequences for doing disruptive and uncalled for actions. VJ-Yugo (talk) 02:57, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Since you have willfully demonstrated your ability to evade your block, we have nothing to talk about. Please be advised that any further block evasion will lead to your talk page editing privileges to being revoked. –MuZemike 05:35, 1 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

VJ-Yugo (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I had been disruptive editing, using socks, and evidently did not register after doing the exactly same behavior as typed up by user: Floquenbeam. I have a really exact promise to not break the rules and policies ever again, and that's evading blocks, vandalize pages with unacceptable edits, and arguing with others by provoking them with threats or I could get banned from Wikipedia and Editing. I swear to holy lord I will not break any policy again and just put resources on, if only someone could be my tutor. VJ-Yugo (talk) 23:02, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Decline reason:

Since this is listed as an WP:ARBMAC block, no single admin can unblock. You will need to email the WP:Arbitration Committee and appeal to them instead. SarekOfVulcan (talk) 19:26, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

And I've been told by user: Boing! Said Zebedee that I need to request unblock for my account. I hope you all understand me and that I'll be unblocked VJ-Yugo (talk) 23:04, 2 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

(For clarification, I directed the user here after an unblock request at User talk:97.102.153.253, as this is the original account -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 23:35, 2 June 2011 (UTC))Reply
  • Oh yes, my apologies for directing you to requesting unblock here - I'd forgotten it was an ARBMAC block. Sarek is right, you'll need to email the WP:Arbitration Committee - but you will need to ask for this account, your original one, to be unblocked, and not any of the socks or IPs. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 19:32, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I emailed someone, but I don't think he/she would respond, please tip VJ-Yugo (talk) 03:40, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

You will need to be patient - they're busy people, and like the rest of us, they're still only volunteers -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:05, 4 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/VJ-Yugo, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
