Akuaba picture edit

That is a correct tag to use for the picture. Thanks for making it public domain.

However, I noticed that you didn't explicitly specify in words (outside of the template) that you took and uploaded the photo, which would make some people suspicious of the tag added. I have added the clarification in. Kimchi.sg 06:22, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Akuaba edit

It's a very nice article. Do you think it is possible for you to Cite your sources? Regarding Image:Akuaba.jpg, it looks like it was taken in a museum. Do you think you could mention which museum, and maube the name of the exhibition? Cheers. Circeus 19:34, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

On 28 July, 2006, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Akuaba, which you created. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the "Did you know?" talk page.

A great article! Enjoyed reading it. Cheers -- Samir धर्म 20:40, 28 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Riad.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on Image:Riad.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Riad.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Remarks on Leon Levinstein edit

Hello, your article was very sparse, but a glance at GoogleBooks shows me Leon Levinstein is indeed a noted photographer, so I went ahead and published. Please flesh it out by at least a few more sentences, pointing out some of his major accomplishments, legacy, etc. Ideally, WP:Footnote them to their sources. If you check GoogleBooks, there are a number of works that discuss him, and you can instantly turn any GoogleBooks link into a full Wikipedia footnote using http://reftag.appspot.com

Nice work! Also, note that since he is deceased, you can add one image of he himself, regardless of copyright, to the article under WP:Fair use. Just click the "upload file" in the far left margin of the WP page, and click the right buttons to indicate "copyright, but deceased subject" and you should be able to upload any photo of him.
