Silver Apples

Oh man! That was so long ago. I don't remember and I don't have this album anymore! I think it was from Allmusic which I got the song credit at the time, but that seems incorrect too. what an ugly article too. it needs a good sprucing up! I'm stuck for the real credits at the time time but feel free to totally correct it to how you please as I can't be of much use for help now. Thanks for taking interest in contacting me. (it also shows my article making skills have improved since I started this! haha!). Cheers. Andrzejbanas (talk) 03:59, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

Good idea! Thanks for taking the time to do it all. Cheers! :) Andrzejbanas (talk) 04:34, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

ok

kindly, I ask you, would you stop going to the page that has to do with the attack? just forget you even saw it for a while, alright? you and several others are creating problems. I don't want to have to carry this further. Thunderstruck45 (talk) 14:22, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
what do you mean? I guess give me a more private way to talk to you. I am plenty tired of the drama you guys impose on us at Wikipedia. Thunderstruck45 (talk) 14:32, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
He is talking about 2008 attack during the Olympics. The user is upset over the discussion occuring, over what exactly, is not clear. .:davumaya:. 18:29, 27 August 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Richard Laviolette

I have nominated Richard Laviolette, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Richard Laviolette. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Requested moves

Please express your opinion on the relevant talk page not in the main WP:RM listing. This is meant to be just an informative listing. All debate is to take place in the individual talk pages. Thanks, --Asteriontalk 13:27, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

DIY bitch

is uncalled for. [1] --Tagishsimon (talk) 10:26, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

No part of DYOH calls for a person to be abused. You are way out of line. --Tagishsimon (talk) 20:33, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
And so the bitch in question was whom? Can you not face up to seeing that that sort of comment is a problem? --Tagishsimon (talk) 20:56, 8 September 2008 (UTC)

Talk:Environmental impact of biofuels

I note that you moved Environmental issues with biodiesel to Environmental impact of biofuels. I had voiced (txted?!) my opposition to it at Talk:Environmental issues with biodiesel. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 09:36, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Yes, this is still under discussion. If it is possible could you move it back while the discussion is in progress? If you can not it can be moved through a request in the uncontroversial section of WP:RM. 199.125.109.124 (talk) 16:21, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
  • However, after looking at it further, I see that Alan Liefting appears to have nominated a move and then immediately opposed the same move, and since no one else had voted, it would have been more appropriate to just delete the move nomination. If you two could sort out what you actually want the article to be named I would propose just deleting the move request and go ahead and move it to that location, which appears to be back to biodiesel, but I would suggest Environmental effects of biodiesel to keep it inline with the majority of environmental of articles, instead of impact or issues. 199.125.109.124 (talk) 17:08, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Cum shot

[2] Ok then, I think I'll go directly for an article RfC. As to restoring the hidden editing note in your revert, you should know that this bullying of editors is completely out of the question. user:Everyme 11:01, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

"Deleting or changing the image may be considered an act of vandalism." — You think that's appropriate. Ok, then we'll just agree to disagree on that. I've included it in the RfC. Your assumption of bad faith and ridiculous accusation that I assume ownership —directly after you reverted my edits— doesn't even merit a curseword. user:Everyme 11:18, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Clarkson, Mississauga

Hi. I noticed that you contested my proposal. Actually, I was being a dumbass and didn't notice that I had a move tab at the top of the page. I figured that since I didn't see a "revert" option in the move log, I couldn't do it. See, that page had been moved before, and someone moved it back, mistakenly. American examples are irrelevant, because Canada-related articles are governed by WP:CANSTYLE#Neighbourhoods/communities. I had cleared it up with an admin here. I have moved the page, per the appropriate guideline. Sorry for making a mess. --Pwnage8 (talk) 00:23, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your help. I have created it [[3]]. Would you take a look and check it's OK? Thanks so much! ;) --Cameron* 18:53, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

I think I want one more in the style of WPBiography. Any ideas? --Cameron* 19:55, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Thanks so much, I love it! ;) --Cameron* 20:01, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
Oh dear I thought I was doing that. I just cocked up FA category! Sorry! After you have made all the cats, can you add the assessment box to the project page? Thanks! --Cameron* 20:07, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
PS: Can I already start adding the banner to pages then? --Cameron* 20:08, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Aircraft "survivors"

Hi, Twas Now. During the AfD, you indicated your willingness to be part of the discussion about how best to handle these articles. I just wanted to invite you to comment on the immediate issues surrounding them. Cheers! --Rlandmann (talk) 07:15, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm very sorry that my invitation led to your "mauling". I was going to issue a block against Davegnz for that inexcusable behaviour, but instead, I decided to seek wider input and opened an RfC/U. You may wish to comment. --Rlandmann (talk) 01:16, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi:

As you took an interest in the move request for Criticisms of Objectivism (Ayn Rand), perhaps you'd review the request to move Objectivism (Ayn Rand)Objectivism and offer your support or opposition.

Well, You Needn't

My understanding is that the original composition was published using a comma, so I believe the previous version was correct. Viriditas (talk) 05:23, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to be the guy bearing bad news, but it appears with a comma on Monk's Music, both in the liner notes and on the sleeve. Heh. The only reason I know all this, is because it was one of the first Monk songs I ever learned to play! :) Viriditas (talk) 05:57, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
And FYI...the confusion comes from the cover versions. I doubt many (if any) subsequent cover versions by artists other than Monk used the comma. Viriditas (talk) 06:00, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! I run into stuff like this all the time. Same thing happened to me on Gerard K. O'Neill ... Viriditas (talk) 08:53, 20 October 2008 (UTC)

I do not know how to message you so I will use this instead.

The reference to Lost Wisdom to Burzum is because Burzum was a Norewgian Black Metal project by Varg Vikernes. He burned chruches nd Phil has been noted to say that he likes Black Metal. The cover is a chruch burneing. Make sense. I cant type clear now sorry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Merznoise (talkcontribs) 02:13, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Your post to Wikipedia:Requested moves

The Wikipedia:Requested moves page is not appropriate for detailed rationale and discussion - it would be better to replace your rationale for a move with simply "see discussion on article's talk page", where you said the exact same thing anyways. Cirt (talk) 19:32, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Genre proposal draft

Per my request on the WP:Music talk page, pelase refrain from editing the talk page and list what you want me to change/clarify on that talk page. This is so I can keep track of the progress of the draft more easily, and ensure someone doesn't insert something I don't intend. You can fix spelling mistakes, though. WesleyDodds (talk) 02:06, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

I've hidden your detailed comments about the draft for now because I need to make sure people understand it first before we discuss the finer points of it. we were getting off-topic. If you want, you can move your hidden comments here where we can continue the discussion. WesleyDodds (talk) 12:02, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Can you help me with my first home grown article?

I am currently in the process of writing my first article for Wikipedia from scratch about a Connecticut-based ska-punk band called Tip the Van. What I have got so far is sitting in a subpage here and I was wondering if you could take a look at it. At first I thought that I would have to wait for another album to be released before the notability requirements were met, however, considering coverage that they have gotten in the Hartford Advocate and winning said paper's sponsored contests three years in a row, they may already have the notability, but I want to be sure. I wanted an experience editor to help me and I originally went to Bignole and he recommended that I ask someone active in the Music Wikiproject. Any advice you could give, along with a resolution to the above question, would be great. Please post it on the subpage discussion page. Thank you.

Also, a partial recreation of the Hartford Advocate article that I reference can be found here. Apparently it came out of a subscription-only database and the person who found it for me said that it is unlikely to be found on the internet, but the reference seems solid. kingdom2 (talk) 03:25, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello

Citing "overlinkage," you removed some links from the article for Milk and then in the cast list you ironically added links to the character names that already were linked in the plot synopsis. One link per article is sufficient. 209.247.22.164 (talk) 14:51, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

I was following the Film Project guidelines, which would seem to be the appropriate course for an article about a film. Unfortunately, each project seems to have its own set of guidelines, many of which may differ from the general Wikipedia guidelines. That's what happens when anyone and everyone is free to contribute to the website. Guidelines devised by one individual are altered by someone else the following week, and those in turn are changed yet again the week after. One thing that does make sense, however, is that multiple links to the same article should be avoided. Thanks for your input! 209.247.22.164 (talk) 19:08, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Hello! As a previous reviewer of Primate at FAC it would be great if you could have another look at the article. The FAC has been restarted, and any comments would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Jack (talk) 17:24, 1 December 2008 (UTC)

new WP:RDREG userbox

This user is a Reference desk regular.

The box to the right is the newly created userbox for all RefDesk regulars. Since you are an RD regular, you are receiving this notice to remind you to put this box on your userpage! (but when you do, don't include the |no. Just say {{WP:RD regulars/box}} ) This adds you to Category:RD regulars, which is a must. So please, add it. Don't worry, no more spam after this - just check WP:RDREG for updates, news, etc. flaminglawyerc 07:27, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Edits to Near-Earth object

Hi, Thanks for your recent edits to Near-Earth object. However, re. the sentences beginning at new lines issue, in article space, this does not affect the displayed article text (as long as there is no blank line inserted, of course), and it is easier to edit (IMHO) when each sentence starts on a new line, because it makes it quicker to find a sentence in a dense mass of wikitext. If this causes problems, I'd like to know about it, and would stop doing it. Otherwise, I think it can be helpful. Thanks Wwheaton (talk) 17:09, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
