Coffee Island edit

I've made a few changes to the article you created but it still has some notability issues and would benefit from additional reliable secondary sources. Most mentions on search engines for independent reliable news sources are in Greek which I cannot read (and the Google translations aren't great for) so if you could add what you can it will help. Also the tone of the article is still promotional and must be written with a neutral point of view. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 01:21, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello Hughesdarren and thanks for your feedback. I will collect the most reliable sources and add them today. I will also change the tone of voice. Tsitsibau (talk) 07:13, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I believe i made some changes in the right direction. i'll try to improve it more in the next days by studying more articles. Thanks. Any further advice is welcome Tsitsibau (talk) 21:28, 24 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Hello Hughesdarren. Do you believe it is better now? Do you have any more advises for me? Thanks Tsitsibau (talk) 23:30, 26 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Looks much better, You've done a great job! I'll check if the editor who placed the tags at the top is happy to take them down. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 21:36, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
One thing that would help immensely is references from a newspaper or other independent sources. Apart from the Cyrus Mail reference, has any of the major Greek or Cyprus newspapers written any articles on Coffee Island? If you can find any and include the reference (even in Greek) then at least other editors could run it through Google translate to get some idea of what is being said. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 01:21, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Hughesdarren:, Barkeep49 thanks again for your help. As you advised i added many references from greek different sources, including the most popular greek news portals based on Alexa rankings. This article now has 31 references most of them from different sources. Tsitsibau (talk) 21:03, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I will take a look as my time permits. However, as noted below, because of your paid conflict of interest you should not be directly editing the pages. I do not doubt your good intentions but it is hard to be neutral about a topic that you have a conflict of interest with AND it is hard as a volunteer to respond to an editor who can do this as part of their job. Please note that I have again removed the awards section - this kind of section is considered promotional when the awards are not themselves notable. After doing some investigating I do not see that to be the case here. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 03:00, 29 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

2019 Mediterranean Beach Games moved to Draft:2019 Mediterranean Beach Games (draftspace) edit

Hi Tsitsibau! An article you recently created, 2019 Mediterranean Beach Games, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your article to Draft:2019 Mediterranean Beach Games, draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation and put this {{subst:submit}} at the top of the article. If the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline, then a AfC reviewer will help you to move the draft article to mainspace. Also you can consider using the Article Wizard. You may want to read "Your first article". Happy editing!Siddiqsazzad001 <Talk/> 15:44, 26 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Siddiqsazzad001. You are right. Unfortunately I couldn't find any more references about this important sports event published. I thought it would be better to create the article since the event is announced with all verified information only. I'll check it again in the future when more information from trusted citations come up.Tsitsibau (talk) 16:18, 26 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Coffee Island edit

Hi! Can I ask what your connection is with COffee Island? Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 18:01, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

hello Barkeep49 and thanks for all your input in my article. I work for Coffee Island, and i know that this might sound wrong. Although i have to be honest with you. But creating an article at Wikipedia is not a part of my job, but something I like, because I like coffee island and I like also Wikipedia. I should also express honestly that i am not interested in creating any promotional article in wikipedia, an encyclopedia that i deeply respect and i would never intend to to hurt in any way. This is one of the biggest coffee chains in Europe which has already expanded in Canada with more expansions to come. I believe it deserves an article here and i am really trying to create a good article, although i am new here and there are too many referencesin Greek. I really understand your position and respect it and if you believe that this page should not exist please let me know, since i have really put an effort here, and not as part of my job, but in my personal time (something that you can verify from the timestamps of my updates). On the other hand if you can help in any way with your advises or i can answer you any doubts you might have about this company, i am at your disposal. Tsitsibau (talk) 18:40, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Tsitsibau: Thanks for your thoughtful reply. It's truly appreciated. I think that this company is possibly notable even under the stricter terms we apply to companies but it's borderline. Do you speak Greek? If so you could DEFINITELY include information from Greek sources - what's written here needs to be in English but the sources can be a different language. However, and this is a big however, because you work for the company you have a conflict of interest and in particular appear to be doing some paid editing. This requires you to disclose your connection. It also suggests that you should be making requests on the talk page that another editor would act on. You can see an example of this at Talk:Verizon Communications. I'm happy to answer more questions about this or help you through any of the necessary steps. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 19:08, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Barkeep49: Thanks again. Your answer was a huge relief. I was afraid that you were about to delete the article. I understand that there is a conflict of interest but i reassure you that this is not a paid editing. You can check the timestamps of my updates, keeping in mind that the timezone in Greece is UTC+2. I will create a talk page similar to Verizon's, disclose my connection and let more people add greek citations. If noone does in the following days i will add them by myself including the most trusted sources. Is there any way to invite some Greek editors to contribute here? I hope that this article will make you proud and you will be able to remove the warnings at the top. Kind Regards Tsitsibau (talk) 19:45, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I showed the Verizon example because he makes specific asks and gives a reliable source for the information. This is what I would encourage you to do. If you are able to use Greek sources, that's fine. It is important that you not carry out the edits yourself - it is my hope too we can get the page to a place where the tags at the top are removed. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 20:15, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Barkeep49: I hope i completed right the talk page. I would appreciate a comment there since you have already spent a lot of time on this. Thanks again Tsitsibau (talk) 20:18, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Barkeep49: I added more greek citations and more info on talk page for more people to contribute. thanks for all your efforts and the time you have spent on this. i hope that this helps Tsitsibau (talk) 22:50, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:2nd Mediterranean Beach Games Patras 2019 logo.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:2nd Mediterranean Beach Games Patras 2019 logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:22, 27 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
