Hi! I received a notification about the page's deletion. I would like to caution you about creating content live - I would actually recommend against creating a page live, as this puts you under a huge time crunch to not only complete the page in a very short amount of time but to also provide independent, reliable sources that would show notability, like reviews of the artist's work that specifically talk about them in-depth or articles that discuss them. It's typically better to work on article drafts in your sandbox, as this will give you more time to complete the work without the immediate fear of deletion. I do want to caution you that it can be extremely difficult to find coverage for artists, especially artists that work in a fairly niche part of the art work. It happens all too often that when they do receive coverage, it's in places that Wikipedia doesn't consider to be reliable, typically because the outlet is self-published - meaning that they don't undergo the editorial process that Wikipedia requires and/or they are not routinely cited as a reliable source by other reliable sources. Unfortunately feminist artists tend to be seen as niche and as such, do not always have the type of coverage needed to show notability.

Offhand it looks like Kayla E. is predominantly known for her work with Nat. Brut, which has an article on Wikipedia. It's actually fairly common on Wikipedia for there to be an article on someone's work and have the artist's (or other creative professional) page redirect there, as the artist doesn't have a lot (or sadly sometimes any) reliable sources that discuss them independently of the work itself. For example, this article from Feministing does talk to Kayla E, however it heavily focuses on her work with Nat.Brut to the point where the article is actually more about the publication. My recommendation here would be to focus on improving the article for Nat.Brut as I'm not really seeing anything that would show where she's independently notable of Nat.Brut. Hi! I notice that you've started editing - I wanted to give you a quick note. You may want to work on your changes in your sandbox first, since that will give you more time to work on polishing your text and also work with the page's formatting. Also, be extremely careful with sourcing - I noticed that you used a WordPress blog as a source, however this would not be seen as a reliable source on Wikipedia since it's a self-published blog that doesn't have the type of editorial oversight and fact-checking that Wikipedia wants from a source. This source will need to be substituted with another source even though it's backing up some pretty basic information. I would recommend avoiding blogs in general unless they come from a very good source. For example, the blog for The Harvard Advocate would be considered usable since the literary magazine itself has a good history. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:16, 29 November 2017 (UTC)
