Cricketer Notability edit

Just a note to save us all some time here. All first class and international cricketers are notable by long established rules and precedence. Nick mallory 10:14, 24 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of Rogue helicopter pilot edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Rogue helicopter pilot, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Rogue helicopter pilot seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Rogue helicopter pilot, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. August 2007 edit

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did to BDSM. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. HalJor 05:55, 25 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from accusing me of being a vandal because you have a POV disagreement. --TotesBoats 06:34, 25 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
While I agree your edit was not vandalism, I have reverted it again, as that forum is not a reliable source and your change to the sentence has contradicted the other reference you provided. I've never heard a psychologist or social activist actually argue that BDSM is domestic violence, all the writer of that other article was saying is that it can lead to it, which makes more sense. I will also refer you to WP:EL for links to avoid, and from a quick scan of the thread you linked to, it appears that the original poster (whom you are apparently citing in your edit) is in the minority opinion. The fact that the URL of that site shares part of your username also indicates a potential WP:COI. It may have been harsh to call your edit "vandalism", but I maintain it did not contribute positively to the article. HalJor 19:27, 25 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
