Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for Image:Me fukuoka now mag.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Me fukuoka now mag.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 23:54, 17 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of The Book of Five Rings: a graphic novel edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on The Book of Five Rings: a graphic novel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mkdwtalk 08:28, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have deleted this page for two reasons:
  • It was a copyright violation, copied from Amazon. Wikipedia cannot accept previously published text unless a formal copyright release is made by the copyright holder. See Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • It was far too promotional in tone for an encyclopedia article, which requires a neutral point of view. Wikipedia is not a noticeboard for posting copies of publishers' blurbs.
For more advice, see WP:Your first article, WP:Notability (books) and WP:WAF. JohnCD (talk) 12:12, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

December 2013 edit

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ōishi Yoshio may have broken the syntax by modifying 4 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • In the famous [[kabuki[[play ''Kanadehon Chūshingura'', Yoshio (Kuranosuke) is known as Ōboshi Yuranosuke.

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 07:11, 20 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Mbinebri. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions to Kira Yoshinaka because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.  Mbinebri  talk ← 06:02, 28 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:Comixology.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Comixology.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 17 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 02:25, 19 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

profile photo out of date edit

How to take off the main profile photo of Sean and replace it with a more up to date photo? The present main profile photo of him is very out of date (from 1999), so it needs updated. I've added a new photo of him, with his permission, today. But how can it be made the one that is used in the sidebar summary type profile (I dont know what that is officially called).

Age wrong edit

The age of Sean listed here is wrong. How can the age be changed? Or can it be deleted altogether? I dont see any way of editing this 'sidebar main profile' type stuff.

Disambiguation link notification for May 16 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Sean Michael Wilson, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Garden (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 12:44, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
