Fair use images edit

Inclusion of fair use images in pages outside of the Main namespace is not permitted by Wikipedia's fair use policy. I have removed the fair use images from your User page. I have also gone through your uploads and tagged orphaned fair use images and fair use images missing rationales. If you do not wish the images to be deleted, please go through your upload log and address the issues. Thank you. --Slowking Man 13:54, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

If you see them fit for deletion, go ahead. To be honest, I'm not bothered enough to do anything about it. --Tobz1000 14:09, 18 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Wastedland-logo.svg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Wastedland-logo.svg and also as Image:Wastedland logo.svg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 03:16, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Regarding logo images edit

Hello, I recently noticed that you have been uploading various logos of bands. I really appreciate that, however, I also noticed that you are not stating in the image description page where you got the image from (source). Also you are tagging the logos with a fair use tag but you are not adding a fair use rationale. Unless you state the source of the image and provide a fair use rationale, all the images you have uploaded can be speedy deleted. For an example of an appropiate format for a logo image page look at Image:Flaw logo.jpg. For the time being I have not tagged your images for deletion but if you do not fix the image pages, I shall have to tag them for deletion. I'm hoping that you will fix the image pages, it's not that hard.--Leon Sword 03:25, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Well, I reviewed the Image:Warmen logo.png and the fair use rationale you added was fine but it contained some spelling errors and you still didn't mention where you got the image from. You need to mention where you got the image from because I doubt you are the person who created the image. Other than that I went ahead and fixed the page with a nice format, go check it out and feel free to use the same format for every other image you upload. Oh and by the way, to link to an image without showing it insert a colon before the word "Image",
for example, by typing [[Image:Warmen logo.png]] you will get Image:Warmen logo.png. Doesn't show the image or the colon, only the link to it. --Leon Sword 01:07, 15 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Wastedland-logo.svg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Wastedland-logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. The Wasted Land article was speedy deleted for not meeting notability requirements so this image is no longer useful here in Wikipedia. --Leon Sword 23:45, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Notability of MyGRAIN edit

A tag has been placed on MyGRAIN, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Spa toss 19:54, 20 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of User:Tobz1000 edit

A tag has been placed on User:Tobz1000, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g10.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet very basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Thedjatclubrock :) (T/C) 00:23, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
