Over the River... edit

Hi ThroughTheWoods,

I ran across an article you created, Over The River...Life of Lydia Maria Child, Abolitionist for Freedom. I've had to remove a lot of text. One portion was taken directly from http://www.overtherivermovie.com, and is therefore a copyright violation. Another appears to be a verbatim reproduction of the introduction to the book, also copyrighted. And we don't really do testimonials in articles. Even if you had permission to reproduce some of that text under a GFDL license, the tone of the material was so promotional that I recommend against re-adding it.

I'm not one of those people that goes around looking for articles to delete because their subjects don't meet our inclusion guidelines, but you should know that your article might attract such people, and that in its current condition it might get listed at WP:Articles for Deletion sometime. You should read WP:MOVIE to see if it actually meets our inclusion guidelines for films or not. I suggest you see what you can do to improve it in the area of references independent of the production company; I looked aorund for some and couldn't find any, but you may have better luck since you evidently know the subject better. If there are not any non-trivial mentions in independent reliable sources (i.e. well known, unrelated to Permanent Productions), the article is probably at risk of eventually being deleted.

This isn't really my area of strength, and I'm not around too often, but if you have any questions you can ask on my talk page and I'll see what I can do. --Floquenbeam (talk) 21:50, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Blitz Attack: The Andrea Hines Story edit

The article Blitz Attack: The Andrea Hines Story has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non notable film with no known resources supporting it having its own page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
