I'd like to point out two sets of conflicting factual statements, and to suggest that they be examined and resolved. Both pertain to matters about which I cannot speak with authority.

Text in the second paragraph of this article (titled "Fort Duquesne") states that the fort "was destroyed by the British ... ." Later in the same article (i.e., the final sentence in the section about the fort's construction and replacement), the text says that "on November 25, the Forbes Expedition ... captured the site after the French destroyed Fort Duquesne the day before."

Also, the "Fort Duquesne" article implies that the fort was destroyed on November 24 -- i.e., the day before the Forbes Expedition captured the site on November 25. But a separate Wikipedia article titled "The Battle of Fort Duquesne" states that the "The French continued to occupy Fort Duquesne until November 26, when the garrison set fire to the fort and left under the cover of darkness."

To summarize, in the articles titled "Fort Duquesne" and "The Battle of Fort Duquesne," there are two sets of apparently conflicting statements regarding (i) whether the French or the British destroyed the fort, and (ii) the calendar date on which the fort was destroyed. I will defer to other editors regarding whether and how these two matters may be addressed.
