Editorializing edit

Hi. I wanted to explain why I reverted this edit. You seemed to add your own personal interpretation of a film's reception, in violation of our policy against original research. We need a reliable source to come to these conclusions. You can directly quote a review aggregator, such as Rotten Tomatoes or Metacritic, but you can't make up your own Rotten Tomatoes-style consensus. What I usually do is quote the official Rotten Tomatoes consensus if I need some kind of summary statement about a film's reception. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 03:23, 12 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

May 2021 edit

Hello, I'm Allninemice. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Norm of the North—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help desk. Thanks. ~ANM🐁 T·C 20:01, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

November 2021 edit

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Fantastic Four (2015 film). Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 03:27, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

July 2023 edit

Hello, I'm Betty Logan. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of biggest box-office bombs without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. I was looking at some of the movies that were listed on the page such as movies that were given a limited theatrical run (Onward, Turning Red) which wouldn’t have justified how well they would’ve done if they were released for a longer run in the US, and films like Black Adam, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Transformers: The Last Knight which don’t have enough sources to back up how much money the lost in their theatrical runs, two of them coming close to making their budgets back domestically. I apologize for not explaining the edits, it was a lot of to clarify and I wasn’t sure that all of my explanations would be agreed with.
One thing I wanted to ask is why the page continues to remove The Flash, which has been discussed as one of the year’s biggest flops and had been crashing at the box office in all of its subsequent weekends. It’s also the only title being discussed as such that is still playing in theaters nationwide. Again, I didn’t mean any significant inconveniences, I just wanted to edit the page in a way I saw as more helpful. I will elaborate on any future edits made to any pages moving forward.   This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at List of biggest box-office bombs, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Betty Logan (talk) 23:52, 28 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I’m sorry. I won’t anger you again. Themostoriginalusernameever (talk) 01:08, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
That's right. You'll choose to start a talk page discussion instead. Edit summaries are not the place to have that discussion. When in doubt, stop editing and discuss the issue. Further disruption will lead to a block. --GoneIn60 (talk) 05:03, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
