Collage distortion

The circles of the Olympics logo are stretched vertically.

Hi the ganymedian, I have a concern about your collages. When resizing images, the rescaling should be uniform so that the image is not distorted. However, in almost all of your collages, you did not rescale the images uniformly, so there is distortion. This really hurts the MOS:IMAGEQUALITY. Would it be possible to revise the collages to fix this problem? BappleBusiness^[talk] 23:27, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Hi @BappleBusiness Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I am not exactly sure what you mean by rescaling the images, and I think another user scaled them down to 300x300 px in most of the year articles. I use a platform called paint.net to make the collages. Would you happen to know how to rescale the images in the sense that you are describing? I am confused on what you mean. The issue isn't with the image resolution per se, but with stretching. I think it's easiest to see how each image is stretched in the 2022 collage: the Olympics image is stretched so that the circles of the Olympics logo turn into ovals. Instead of stretching the images into squares, they would have to each be cropped into squares. BappleBusiness^[talk] 02:16, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Permission to edit a collage

Maybe around late November, there are probably 200 other 2023 collage candidates competing for putting on the lead that will try to do it as early as possible, so the earlier we do it, the better DementiaGaming (talk) 14:00, 13 October 2023 (UTC)

It seems on WP:YEARS that there is a discussion on the depreciation of collages, which most people have agreed to remove. Collages are starting to be removed in year pages, including the 1950s, 60s, and 2000-2003. It is likely there will not be a collage for 2023. DementiaGaming (talk) 23:52, 1 November 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message
