Hello, I'm LFaraone. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Patrick Kilpatrick, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. LFaraone 02:13, 4 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Daniel may have been over zealous in blocking my account. This is not for promotional use, and was never intended to be. The use of my company name was only for convenience. I am not very clever with making up user names and I do not wish to use my name on my edits. If any of my edits have been in violation of Wiki policies, it was coincidental and not deliberate. I run into people who have accomplished a lot all the time, but most of them do not know anyone who is on Wikipedia. My mission is to give such people a voice. They deserve to be written about and to enrich our common culture with the knowledge of who they are. AEN are my initials, the year is 2013. That is why I choose AEN2013. Although, I would prefer my original user name, I understand the concern and I understand the policy and I will abide by the policy and respect the concern. So, Mr. Daniel Case, I do respect your desire to keep Wikipedia free of corporate influence and profiteering. We share a common interest in that. I ask you to reconsider and remove the block so that I may continue on my mission. As you may or may not have noticed, I am preparing to write an article about a village in Nigeria called Obagi. Obagi has for decades been plagued by Big Oil polluting their eco-system. I am waiting for more information and photos to continue that article. I am also working on an article about Aileen Getty. She is the grand daughter of J.Paul Getty. She runs a non-profit in Hollywood called GettLove. She does not have an article. I am collecting data about her in order to continue the article. I have other projects including other little known places and events that I am preparing. Your re-consideration will enable me to continue working on these projects which are intended to enrich the human experience.

Accept reason:

Your username is the only real problem here; I don't see any troublesome edit. Boilerplate: Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. --jpgordon::==( o ) 00:11, 29 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

JP, thanks for unblocking me. I have put the request in at the location you suggested.

Your draft article, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Obagi

edit

Hello The Troubadour. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Obagi".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Obagi}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. C679 17:17, 15 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
