Welcome

Welcome and glad that you were so Bold as to specify what type of knives were used in Dracula. I had to look it up to make sure it was correct, but in fact you were right! So complements on the eye for detail. If you are interested in workin on literature articles, I might suggest helping us at WP:Novels where their are thousands of novel articles that needs lots of work! And if you ever need any help, feel free to contact me on my talk page, or here. Happy editing, Sadads (talk) 16:28, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the welcome! Although, just so you know, I've been doing work with this account for a couple of months, already. But thanks again! I'll be sure to find something to do at WP:Novels. Alex.liu064 (talk) 20:41, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
I saw that but I thought it was about time that someone gave you a welcome and made your talk page a blue link, Sadads (talk) 20:57, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Playable Characters Sources

You're discussion page is a little empty, isn't it?
Anyway, do you think we should get rid of all of the references we are using in the playable characters section (to cite all of the character reveals), and instead use one single source...like the official Marvel vs. Capcom 3 website for instance? Seems unnecessary to have all of these separate sources. -WANINOKOZ (TALK) 03:49, 17 November 2010 (UTC)

Re; About Square Enix

Okay, but the corporate history was more or less just using all the dates listed in that part of their site. In my opinion, It would be no different to simply using it as a reference. Unless their is a specific wikipedia guideline about doing that. In either case, thank you for the tip. Prodclod (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:24, 22 December 2010 (UTC).

Nintendo 3DS Comparison Chart Specifications

Hi The Stick Man, I noticed that twice you have removed my edits on the Nintendo 3DS chart page, but I am confused as to why. You state in the page edit history that my edits conflict with the unsourced information quoted in the Nintendo DS article. All my changes were taken directly from Nintendo Japan's own specification comparison charts here:-

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/spec/index.html

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/dsiLL/spec.html

You also changed some information that matched with the main articles, including:-

  • The DSi screen size is 3.25" and this is stated in the main Nintendo DSi article, yet you changed it back to 3.3".
  • The 3DS screens are 3.53" and 3.02" and the 3DS specification sheet that is referenced in the article clearly states this, yet this was also changed back.
  • The original Nintendo DS battery lasts 6-10 hours as stated in the Nintendo DS article and in the specification chart linked above.

All my other changes were also accurate to the above linked specification sheets.

If the other articles state different specifications then unfortunately they are wrong, and since every edit I make is removed I feel there is little point in me making the necessary changes to those pages as well. I hope you will reinstate my changes and perhaps in future examine each individual edit instead of undoing someones effort entirely. Link83 (talk) 03:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

3DS

Thank you for helping me with the upkeep of the 3DS article. It's nice having someone else around there consistently and strictly following the wikipedia rules. Sergecross73 msg me 23:29, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

Much appreciated. Sergecross73 msg me 01:21, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
Yes, I am worried. Is there any way to extend that? I'm pretty experienced with wikipedia, but not with "protecting" pages. I'm worried between the anon ISPs, and the fact that the Japanese launch at the end of the month will no doubt cause chaos too...Sergecross73 msg me 01:10, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
If I have time, I'll look into, but I may not have the time...but regardless, I'm sure that the Japanese launch will cause so much chaos for the page that it'll be easy to protect again at that point... Sergecross73 msg me 19:57, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, while that is quite annoying that they'd go about the trouble of organizing such a thing, at least they put the vandalism over the edge so that the page was projected. And until June 7th too. That'll help for a while. Now, I wish we could figure what of these sources are and aren't reliable for all the specs... Sergecross73 msg me 01:17, 8 March 2011 (UTC)

Question

What type of pictures are we allowed to use for 3DS? I want to be very sure, I am newly auto-confirmed and I want to make sure I am doing things correctly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sleegi (talkcontribs) 21:09, 3 February 2011 (UTC)

Would this picture be allowed?

ScottKazama

Just wanted to point out that the user ScottKazama doesn't speak English well (it's not his first language). I know him from other areas of the web and I just wanted to point that out, given your minor frustration. --Teancum (talk) 18:14, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Really? Hm, I should have known. Perhaps I should cut him some slack. Thanks for telling me. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 22:57, 15 February 2011 (UTC)

Street Fighter criteria

Ah okay, it's just a bit confusing to determine what the criteria for it is though. Like other crossovers such as Super-Heroes/Tekken/X-Men vs. the Street Fighters is included. Is it basically because since so many capcom guys appear in it that it'd be listed in too many categories? Or I guess for the same reason I shouldn't call any of these a Spider-Man game or a Deadpool game. I guess it seemed different since they were a whole genre though, like the X-men. But I guess even the X-men vs. Street Fighter would only be classed as X-men and not a Wolverine game, so I think I get it now. Still, out of all the Capcom entrants, I can't help but notice that they seem to play one of the more prominent parts in the story, at least in previous ones. Dictabeard (talk) 02:45, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

Character Cameos

I was looking through the article, and I remember that Capcom stated that Blade and Man-Thing were supposed to have cameos, but I don't remember seeing them in any character endings. Maybe they were mentioned in a victory quote or something? Do you know? -wANINOKOZ ♪♫♪ 03:26, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Super Smash Brothers playable characters.

Okay, I am new to editing wiki, so bear with me. I didn't realize that before it was a sortable table. Even so, I think the most organized list is chronological over alphabetical, and as there are only 3 categories, I feel the sortable table is unneccesary when chronological is much easier to access.

Why is zero suit samus listed as a separate character? I see no difference in her transformations and those of Zelda and Pokemon trainer, and still feel that brawl only has 35 characters.

I know fan theories are inadmissable, but I am in the process of looking up some sort of validation as we speak. even so, i feel there should be a note explaining the 5 characters abscene. The idea of a spirtual successor is not unknown to wikipedia, and I feel this would be an appropriate venue to use it.

Hey its me again. I've been thinking about the list. Perhaps the problem isn't that the pages can't be submitted, but rather we haven't figured out how to. although wiki requires citation, said source does not need to be official. --Brocky10 —Preceding undated comment added 21:24, 8 March 2011 (UTC).

Re: Buttons

My point is to prove that DS doesn't have "HOME" button because that's what 3DS vs DS series table is for. I never planned to name each buttons, but I thought it'd be more reliable because "HOME" and such buttons/sliders must be separated from "push-buttons".

Yes it's supposed to say "The 3DS has push-buttons, like the DS series" but I thought it'd be nicer if it show what kind of certain new buttons/sliders not found in the DS series, just like "3D depth slider", "Circle Pad", and "wireless communications switch".

I'm sorry if I'm completely idiot XP

Button combination when booting DS games from a 3DS console

Hello, I would like to inform you that in the 3DS article the button combination to boot a DS game in their native resolution is to press Select OR Start while booting. (at least that is correct in the latest firmware update)

Can you edit that?

Ethan/Gamefaqs

I don't suggest to "go to gamefaqs" to be mean or harsh or anything, it's just that their messageboards/forums are the first place that comes to mind as far as everyone just blurting out the first things that comes to mind as far as video games go. I mean, look at Ethan's contributions page (for his IP that isn't blocked). His last 50+ edits have been on talk/discussion pages. He hasn't edited an actual article in 2011, only talk pages. It's pretty clear he doesn't have much of an interest in actually editing articles. And thus, the suggestion. Anyways, just thought I'd throw that out there. Sergecross73 msg me 12:54, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

That's true. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 16:48, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

I think he only wants to edit the 3DS page. He probably would edit it if the page was unlocked. But there could be some other reason, that was just my guess. But if that was why I don't know why he doesn't just make an account. TheBradford msg Bradford 13:46, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

That's exactly what I'm talking about. If he really wanted to contribute to the 3DS article, he'd make an account to he could edit the locked article. Sergecross73 msg me 14:36, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
What I don't like about him is 1) He doesn't like being told that he's wrong, and 2) He doesn't bother to learn why he's wrong. You don't charge onto Wikipedia thinking that you know all the rules and then lash out against people who don't agree. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 16:59, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
I completely agree. Even worse about the not liking to be told he's wrong, he lashes out and says he's being "harrassed". He just went and did that to the Admin who blocked him, who in turn blocked him a second time...Sergecross73 msg me 17:47, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

I think he just keeps coming back on because he doesn't want to lose, and couldn't care less about being a editor. TheBradford msg Bradford 17:55, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Wait, so he thinks that this is game? That you have to "win"? Even if this was a game, you should accept your "losses" and learn from your mistakes so that you can "win" next time. TheStickMan[✆Talk] 19:55, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger was announced for release (I'm not sure if it's official, I don't remember where the original link was) on the iOS platform. It was not announced for mobile phones, therefore it should say iOS as a platform rather than mobile phones. However, at the moment, it should not say anything referring to iOS or mobile phones under platforms unless an accurate source can be listed. Shouldn't mobile phones be removed from the platforms that Chrono Trigger is available for until it has proof that it will be available for mobile phones? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hebbis1 (talkcontribs) 01:46, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Project Cafe

Now, I mean this is the nicest way possible, not trying to give you attitude or anything, but what did you mean here? "You undid the wrong edit, Serge" My edit, "Revertin vandalism and poor formatting" was intended to get rid of that person who said "Project Cafe didn't exist",that weird formatting of the sections, and that person who put the "crystal" format on the page, and as far as I can tell, that's what happened. Did I accidently miss something? Or were you just making a joke like I missed the edit that you did, which was also a needed edit? Just curious. Let me know. Ethan no, he is not at all like he is on Wikipedia. As far as I know he only acts like this when he is arguing with Xbox/Sony fans, or someone who is getting in the way of letting him argue. It didn't help that after Ethan was blocked, and the fight was deleted, n00b decided to tease him with one last message. I've already said what I had to say on n00b's talk page, and there's not much more I can do about him. Anyway, Ethan retaliated by using another IP to vandalize n00b's user page, while declaring war on him. As of the typing of this, he's mostly mad about being blocked for "fighting back" against n00b. It was a frustrating situation. I feel that n00b just made things much, much worse... TheStickMan[✆Talk] 16:27, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
