Image Tagging for Image:Twodeadsluts.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Twodeadsluts.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

I have blocked you for 3 hours for incivil behaviour. You may still edit this page. Please improve your standard of dialogue or a longer block will ensue. You may recreate the deleted pages after your block expires if you can show how they are notable. Thanks, and please STOP the bad language. Image Tagging Image:Ed Gein band.jpg edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ed Gein band.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. feydey 22:13, 7 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

When I copy/paste http://www.myspace.com/edgeinband to the address bar and open it, I am unable to find that image in My screen... Maybe You'll check again? feydey 02:54, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
The image is under Pictures, the requirement for fair use promo images for uploading to Wikipedia is that they are a promotional photo in a press kit. That doesn't seem to be the case here. Please find that (or other) image about them that is a)made by You or b) an image that is licenced under a free licence like CC or c)is from a press kit. Thanks for understanding. feydey 05:07, 8 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

5643 Song EP edit

Hi! I saw a comment of yours saying you have mp3s of AC's album, is there any way I could get it? Bogdan Butnaru

bogdanb@gmail.com I thought it was visible :)

Embrace The End edit

I may be incorrect, but the page reads like an advertisement for the band. Generally band pages should say something like xxx were formed in generalsville, washington, in 19xx. Their albums are x, y, and z. Their influences include a, b, and c. The Embrace The End seemed to me to be opinionated "it's clear they're going to be annihilating the audience and their contemporaries alike", "prove to be uncompromising in aggression and unmatched in brutality", "their musicianship is supreme and devastating". A good example of a metalcore band page is Hatebreed.

It All Begins with One Broken Dream edit

A tag has been placed on It All Begins with One Broken Dream, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable (see the guidelines for notability here). If you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Seraphimblade 08:56, 7 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Embrace the End edit

I'm not sure why it doesn't meet some people's standards. They are notable as I said on the AfD discussion and another user and I have worked on the page to at least get rid of the promo language and I put in an infobox to make it more encyclopaedic. Maybe you should ask the people who are saying it doesn't meet the standards, for I certainly haven't said it doesn't. Bubba hotep 08:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

That's OK. I had to go back and make sure I didn't object to it! It gets confusing sometimes, especially as I do a running commentary on my thoughts and processes! Still, at least it shows I think about what I do. Hope it stays and maybe I'll listen to them one day. :) Bubba hotep 20:27, 13 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Turn It Around.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Turn It Around.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Fair use rationale for Image:Hell Songs.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Hell Songs.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Image:Embrace The End new.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Embrace The End new.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Crime in Stereo Is Dead edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Crime in Stereo Is Dead requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a musical recording which does not indicate why its subject is important or significant, and where the artist's article has never existed, has been deleted or is eligible for deletion itself. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for music.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Please claim your upload(s): File:TheMetro by Self.jpg edit

Hi, Thank you, for uploading this file.

However, as part of ongoing efforts to ensure all media on English Wikipedia is correctly licensed and attributed it would be appreciated if you were able to confirm some details,

If it's your own work, please include {{own}}, amend the {{information}} added by a third party, and change the license to an appropriate "self" variant. You can also add |claimed=yes to the {{media by uploader}} tag if it is present to indicate that you've acknowledged the image, and license shown (and updated the {{information}} where appropriate).

If it's not your own work please provide as much sourcing/authorship information as you are able to.

This will assist those reviewing the many many "free" images on commons that have not yet been transfered to Commons. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:34, 31 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
