- Permalinks are not as useful as the subpage method for archiving talk pages, because permalinks link to dynamic Web pages which are not visible to search engines such as Google. See Template:Google custom/doc#How to search subpage trees within Wikipedia for some useful examples of how to search archived discussions on Wikipedia, by using the {{Google custom}} template. --Teratornis (talk) 18:04, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
