Butthole Surfers edit

Hey, great job updating the Butthole Surfers discography articles. It's about time someone got around to it. Hopefully you stick around and help improve their main article page as well. I'll be helping out for sure.Gruntmaster flush 07:50, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I saw on the Teresa article discussion page that you're going to update the Buttholes main article soon. I have some zine interviews that aren't on the web, so I can make scans and send them your way if it'll be of use to you. Not sure how I can send you my e-mail so it won't show up here... Gruntmaster flush 05:02, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ze work, it has begun (on the main page, that is). And yeah, I could definitely make use of any interviews, etc. you might have, that'd be great. Better still, you should be able to email me by going to my user page or its talk page, then clicking the "E-mail this user" button in the "Toolbox" menu on the bottom half of the left-hand toolbar. I have my email registered with Wiki, so by clicking that button you can send an email straight to me. Thanks for the help! Thehaikumaster 05:08, 6 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Holy crap - - you've done a great job on the Buttholes page. You should probably mention the Blind Eye Sees All VHS (now a DVD release on MVD). It was an official release back in the day, and I guess still legit.

But like I say... great work.

Helping out with the Unassessed Wikipedia Biographies edit

Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of [unassessed articles] tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! --Ozgod 22:59, 23 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi there! Sorry for the delayed response, but I'm in the process of moving and haven't had home Internet access in about a week, and probably won't have it for another week.
But, as soon as I'm back online at home again, no problem at all with helping out on the assessments! Glad to be of service. Thehaikumaster 15:53, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image:Butthole Surfers modern.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Butthole Surfers modern.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 48 hours after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —Angr 17:50, 9 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Butthole Surfers FAC edit

Both myself and Wesley will work on the article; however both of us are committed to other projects until mid week, at least. After the first copy edit, I'll canvas a few other editors to help; as I said the hard work has been done, its just gloss from here on in. Bty, you were right to revert my first edit, and there is no hard feelings from my side, just slight embarrassment. Whatever, it would be very, very cool to see the Surfers on the FA page. Ceoil 21:34, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Awesome; in the meantime, I'll tackle the dash/hyphen issue and rework the references. Should have that done in the next couple days. Thanks again for the help, both of you! The Haiku Master 22:25, 14 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source for Image:Butthole_Surfers_modern.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Butthole_Surfers_modern.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:31, 9 May 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Abu badali (talk) 21:31, 9 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Butthole Surfers Live PCPPEP Back.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Butthole Surfers Live PCPPEP Back.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:50, 2 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image review edit

Hello. The majority of the images you uploaded for the article Hairway to Steven are listed at "non-free content review". At issue is whether such extensive use of non-free imagery is problematic with regards to the WP:NFCC. Thank you. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:05, 28 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Given the responses there and at Wikipedia:Media_copyright_questions#Fair_use.3F, all images but the front cover have been removed from the article. The extra images have been tagged as "orphaned" and may be deleted. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:25, 30 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello The Haiku Master! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 939 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Jeff Pinkus - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
