Great start

Great start! Glad to see you figured out the archive box. Hope I can be of help. If you have any more questions or concerns drop by my page. If you want a second opinion or advice or just have a simple question I am usually not very far away from a computer. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 15:58, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Also not sure if you intentionally had your talk page content as red/blue (the red was really annoying) so I fixed your font tags for you so that the proper colors work. Feel free to revert me if this is not what you wanted. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 16:00, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
That's okay, maybe a normal page is better. The Cool Kat (talk) 16:01, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Adoption/Admin coaching

Hi Cool Kat, I read on your userpage that you're looking for an admin coach and to be "adopted"! Well here I am :-) - I've had experience with both! :-) - Reply here or on my talk and we can start working things out. Or, if I'm not good enough, you can simply ignore this message! ;-) ScarianCall me Pat! 18:18, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Spider-Man Unlimited is on Disney XD too.

The Cool Kat, Spiderman Unlimited is on Disney XD. I watch it today on this channel and here is the schedule for the channel: http://www.toonzone.net/schedule/index.php?browseNetworkID=17. Please refrain from removing this title from the list of shows on Disney XD, thank you. Lamborghini man (talk) 18:41, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

WP:ADCO/RFC

You said that weaver kid was outed as a sock puppet weeks ago. It would be great if you could leave a citation for such a bold assertion in your edit summary. I would suggest piping one your words from the appropriate link where that is discussed. It would just make it easier for others to confirm your argument and realize it is not an unfounded character attack. I hope you see that I am not disagreeing with you or your claim but that I am dismayed but the way you presented it. Murder mysteries and cartoons have taught me to trust neither the butler nor the cool cat. :)--Thecurran (talk) 03:51, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Cool Disco Dan

Hello. There's plenty in the Cool "Disco" Dan article that implies that he achieved notability, so CSD A7 isn't applicable. I happen to know that he was quite well known over the years that he was active, and that he was written up, but whether he meets WP:Notability can be determined in AfD. —Largo Plazo (talk) 23:11, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks...

for this and this. I've been asking for assistance in dealing with that IP (and the user's other IPs) for a while now. Much appreciated. Geoff B (talk) 23:50, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Explain Source and One Other Item

(1) For Fangface, explain how the Parker Brothers Board Game itself is not a source. So what are you wanting, an internet link? If so, then there is no such thing for this item. It was made back in 1979.

(2) For Fangface, why do you keep reverting the changes to the External site for fangface.castlegrayskull.org? I run the site. I obtained a new domain for my site called fangface.org. I updated that to keep the links up to date. In the future, that sub-domain will be gone. If you don't believe what I am saying, take a look at the fangface.castlegrayskull.org link which is labeled currently as "Fangface Fan Site". I have a notice in place that says that that sub-domain will be gone eventually in the future.

(3) Nothing else on the entire Fangface page is cited, so why is everything I place there immediately erased?

Cringer (talk) 12:28, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Source Proof

How do I show that the physical game box is the source for the information that I provided concerning the Parker Brothers Board Game? I would prefer that in the future that it's not erased by another users and that it remains. The item is real. I posted an image of the front and thought that is what you were asking for.

This is the actual front of the box for the Parker Brother Board Game.

File:FangfaceParkerBrothersBoardGameBoxFront.jpg

Cringer (talk) 12:28, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

The game is very scarce and not as easy to find. There are a couple of listings for some on EBay, but I don't consider that as a good linking source since those pages will be gone in time due to the fact that they delete them. This game was made in 1979. Cringer (talk) 12:32, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Production credits

If I ordered the production credits list for Fangface to appear in the exact order as they show up in the ending credits, would this be overly picky or would this be something that is normal on Wikipedia?

Migthy B edit

Why did you undo my edit at the Mighty B! page? ραncακemisτακe (talk) 17:21, 8 March 2009 (UTC)

An overview for the seasons is often used, even though it redirects to an episode list. ραncακemisτακe (talk) 20:36, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Fangface Ending Credits

I made a number of changes to the ending credits section to ensure that they matched exactly with how they are displayed in the credits for the show. I also reordered all of the credits to be shown in the exact order as they are shown in the ending credits. I felt this would make it a whole lot easier for someone to verify anything that would be in the list if they chose. I can site this, but it technically would require a video clip of the ending credits to PROVE all the changes I made and to prove that the items listed there are exactly as they appear in the ending credits. Is it allowable to upload a RealVideo file of the ending credits to Wikipedia, or would this not be allowed? Thanks for all your help.

Cringer (talk) 04:58, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Would it be important to upload a video of the ending credits, if allowed, as the source? I only want to upload what is needed to backup the claims I have made and nothing more. Like the item where I added Fangs' Uncle Arnie and listed his business title. I then grabbed a screen shot of him as well as his business which was a video arcade to show he, in fact, did exist in the series. Thanks for all your help!

Harrassment

Please stop hounding me and posting untrue accusations about me. I have NEVER vandalized a page in my entire life and I NEVER WILL. Please don't ever remove anything from my user page or talk page again. I saw you removed the aspie template that my girlfriend put up. Please don't trespass like that again. If you want to be an administrator, you should know that removing anything from someone else's user page without their permission is strictly off limits. TomCat4680 (talk) 13:51, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

If it it was a stranger it's still against the rules to remove anything from someone's user page without their permission.TomCat4680 (talk) 14:20, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

That is not true. Very regularly people remove stuff from other users talk pages, especially if the addition seems suspicious. this is almost never in BAD faith and was somebody looking out for your best interest. Try to be nice to these people, they are trying to help you. Chrislk02 Chris Kreider 14:37, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

WP:BLANKING

I thought perhaps it might be a good idea to draw your attention to the information at WP:BLANKING. Users, including IPs, are permitted to remove almost anything from their own talk pages except for 1) confirmed sockpuppetry notices, 2) shared IP templates and 3) declined unblock requests. Anything else, including block templates, is fair game for removal and you should not revert them if they do remove warnings and block templates from their talk pages. Let me know if you have any questions on this. –xeno (talk) 17:14, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

E-mails

If you don't believe me, e-mail Discovery yourself and ask them when Season 4 of Jon & Kate Plus 8 will finish. No one else will and everyone automatically assumes that next week Season 4 is finished. It's called consulting the source. 70.24.233.37 (talk) 20:13, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Actually it's called original research. "Consulting the source"=primary source material, something we don't do here. See this for a full explanation of why, and of what kinds of sources we DO accept; if you still have questions, please ask at the Reliable Sources Noticeboard. Thanks... GJC 20:22, 19 March 2009 (UTC)

Instead of doing whatever it is you want me to do, you both can do MY job and fix the episodes up. The last two are in the wrong order. TLC has a tendency to change things around, so I"ll just send you a message, on a regular basis and you fix it. Yes, I'll be a pain the butt, but that's what you get for listening to another user, who did NOT provide a source, that Season 4 has ended. You just went by their word and they've only been contributing for a month, and interfering in the Gosselins' page for the past week. Hope you have fun, I know I will!

Your RfA

Hi there. To expand a bit on my comment on the above page, requesting access to tools that can do so much harm to the project after having a relatively minor tool stripped is not endearing to trust. I'm not necessarily saying that you'd intentionally abuse the admin tools, but your lack of experience in those areas as well as other areas of Wikipedia lead me to think you may misuse them. I would suggest a withdrawal, and perhaps a peruse of WP:GRFA and the admin's reading list. In six months to a year of good work, and a solid commitment and understanding of Wikipedia and how it works through different policies, will see a future request succeed. Don't rush it, though. Adminship takes time, and the responsibilities are dull and need relatively solid commitment. You might want to request an editor review and, later down the line, an admin coach, which may help your editing skills some more. Thanks for your work here, and good luck in the future. PeterSymonds (talk) 14:27, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

  • I would urge withdrawl as well. Too soon after the incident we last spoke about. –xeno (talk) 14:32, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Your RfA

I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.

I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Once you are ready to request adminship again, there is a great admin coaching program available, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 15:03, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Parisi Industries, Inc.

For the following article: Parisi_Industries,_Inc.

Why is it shown as not having a cite? The linked site is where I read about this company and wrote information from. I did not copy it word for word but tried to write about some of the things they had shown in that article to create the page about this company.

I removed the "unreferenced" tag from this article and tried to explain the information was derived from the linked source.

Also, how is it that certain people, such as yourself, seem to be on all the articles that I work on? I presume you are an admin or something. I am just curious since it seemed a bit odd to me.

Adventures of Robin Hood

Hi there - I noticed your revert on the Robin Hood article, and - because you didn't use an edit summary - I wasn't entirely sure of the reason behind the revert. To be honest, the descriptions of the sets the anon IP added accurately reflect the sets used and the production design. I'm hoping to track down the details of the TV Guide article that was used as reference in order to verify. Howie 16:21, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I've since tracked down a copy of the TV Guide in question and found all the entries on the Wikipedia article to be correct. I'd appreciate if you could reply to me regarding why you chose to remove the information without checking. Thanks Howie 15:16, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
I bought a copy on eBay - remarkably there happened to be that very issue available. Just because the source is old, doesn't mean it should be removed. After all the TV series in question is also the same age! Howie 18:05, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with File:Wazzo Blue Razz.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Wazzo Blue Razz.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those.
