License tagging for Image:Daggerfallazura.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Daggerfallazura.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:06, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:230px-Big Bang Kamehameha 3.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Orphaned non-free image (Image:Nikudan Hari Sensha.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Nikudan Hari Sensha.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 03:41, 4 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please do not bite the newcomers who are making edits. I know that it's frustrating to revert their edits constantly, but edit summaries in all caps such as "*Gasps for air* SUPER FAAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" is really not appropiate. "Reverting vandalism," or stating a reason for your revert would be preferable. Or to avoid that altogether, you can get popups. Thank you and happy editing. Fair use rationale for Image:Daggerfallazura.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Daggerfallazura.jpg. Re:Question edit

Because you're supposed to give a reason to your opinion aside from I like it or I don't like it. Read WP:CONSENSUS. There could be 30,000 "Keep" votes with no opinion other than "OMG, I LOVE THIS ARTICLE. DON'T MERGE IT PLZ," and one person with "no notability established by reliable, verifiable sources," and that one person would win. In this case, there were dozens of random anons with the above inane opinions, while others were unsure with what to do with the article. As neither side was able to give a satisfactory solution (hence, not convincing the other side), "no consensus" is the result. By all means, there does not need to be unanimity (otherwise consensus would be impossible to obtain), but if the argument clearly has two sides with unresolved opinions that many people are adopting, then no consensus is appropiate. It's a case-to-case basis in truth, but it is proper for the argument in question. Sephiroth BCR (Converse) 23:32, 5 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re:Another Question edit

No editor is of a "higher status" than others. Administrators, for instance, are simply users with additional tools, and are not considered "higher" than other users. That said, many users have a great deal of respect from the Wikipedian community and their opinions are considered more throughly than some other editors. Often times, opinions from IPs or very new users are considered less than others, but that is why Wikipedian editors assume good faith with others. August 07 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Green (Pokémon), is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Serebii is never a reliable source because it does not have transparancy (i.e. it is impossible to tell where the information actually comes from). -Jéské (v^_^v Kacheek!) 01:59, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use overuse edit

I've reverted your re-insertion of the fair use images onto List of Akatsuki members. The images simply are not necessary to the article. Per WP:NFCC item #3(a), "Multiple items are not used if one will suffice; one is used only if necessary." we can substitute one image. For example, we could add Image:Akatsukispread.jpg. Though, I'm hard pressed to understand why even one is necessary. These images perhaps appropriate for subpages on each of these characters such as Itachi Uchiha, but not on a "List of..." type page. Such uses are being deprecated all over the project. See User:Durin/Fair_Use_Overuse#Complete for plenty of examples. Also, please note that all of these images lack a sufficient fair use rationale. The rationale give is generic, not specific to the articles intended in their use. Regardless, the images are not acceptable on this article as you intend them. Please do not re-add these images as this constitutes a violation of our fair use policy. If you have questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Thanks, --Durin 19:43, 23 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

this is not a hate letter edit

Dear TU3 the other day I was trying to find the naruto genjutsu, taijutsu and ninjutsu pages and I notesed they had been edited. So then I went to the discussion pages to see what had happened, not that it matters but I wana say I'm sorry about all the complainst you recevied.

Any way if you are reading this then I have one idea but I bet you and all the other people who edit the articals may have thought about this and there is a problem I am over looking but, I have been to the wikkinaruto site and I personaly don't like the layout(and I bet all the other naruto fans who are sending you all the complaints agree with me).

If you (or any other artical editor) has accsess to the old naruto page info could you please send it to the naruto wikki and do a whole cut and paste thing.

I'm am really sorry and I bet this sounds really stupid but the naruto wikki just isn't as good. the old info had the name of the jutsu, the class of the jutsu, who did the jutsu and a very good description of the jutsu. and it was all on the one page in alphabetical order were as the wikinaruto was like one page per jutsu and each page is like 3 lines long ( but I guess the site is still new and I guess the articals here started the same way)

Also I really have to know if there is any chance at all, are the old pages some were? The thaught that such a well constracted colection of all thoughs jutsus might be gone is kind of upseting.

Well Louis, as a contributor to the Naruto Wiki, I say the site is doing quite fine. There is a reason as to why the wiki has one jutsu per page, but thats a reason I do not know. Personally I just follow the orders given to me. The old pages can still be found, you just have to show some effort to find them. Also the whole copy and paste thing would take WAY to long to edit and my life at the moment completely forbids it.-TheUltimate3 10:44, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disrupting wikipedia: Naruto Uzumaki edit

I edited the Naruto Uzumaki thread to include the fact that the Yang chakra of kyuubi was sealed in Naruto with the hakke fuuin and the shishou fuuin. As well as the fact that he Yin was sealed by Minato with the shiki fuuin. This is clearly stated in the Manga chapter 370 pages 12-14 in a discussion between the frog scroll and Jiraiya. My edit is based on what the manga itself says, where as someguy's version of events is based on assumption and speculation. Buttcheeks 19:59, 28 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Advice edit

I can safely say that's the stupidest argument I've ever seen. Haku might be lying? Well, let's just add a questionable tone to every imaginable factoid introduced in the series. We have no way of knowing if anything stated in the series is true. Naruto might not even be a real person! Haku has breasts? I'd very much like to see any evidence supporting that. The only slightly legitimate argument he's making is that the Japanese is ambiguous in terms of gender. Well, I suppose we should start referring to Deidara as "it" shouldn't we? He's got the ponytail after all. Seriously hot dudette Deidara is. And she's got mouths on her hands! Double your pleasures at the same time! Come to think of it, none of the characters have been seen without pants. We definitely just need to make everyone into an "it".

The fact of the matter is this: Naruto refers to Haku as a he, Zabuza refers to Haku as a he, Kakashi refers to Haku as a boy, and Haku refers to himself as a boy. All are sourcable to the English anime and manga, and thus that is the only conclusion supported by WP:V. A section on his questionable gender (which is supported within the series) is certainly warranted, but until Haku starts being depicted naked in the manga and we can see he lacks a penis, all claims that he is female have no ground to stand on. If User:Deny it! continues to argue that Haku is a she despite all the evidence supporting Haku is male, block him for disrupting the wikia to make a point (note the specific section I linked to). ~SnapperTo 04:12, 7 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hey, TheUltimate3 edit

Hi. You may know me as Madara uchiha99 at Narutopedia, but I'm Hananoshi here. (I decided on that name before i found Narutopedia.) I just wanna say that Haku had a pure heart and put Sasuke in a death-like state, while not killing him; while Pein is PURE EVIL and wouldn't spare Jiraiya. Hananoshi 14:03, 23 December 2007 (UTC)Hananoshi

People are entitled to their own opinions but the whole "guilty until proven innocent" thing is just not right. He's not dead yet. Next chapter definitely bu Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Wait for proof. Sasuke9031 (talk) 18:05, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
If you go by that theory then Sasuke is dead. Haku said that Sasuke was dead and that was what first brought out the Kyuubi. Pain saying Jiraiya is dead is not really that different. Alive until proven otherwise. Sasuke9031 (talk) 22:09, 24 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Why are you deleting discussion from Talk Pages under the title "removing Forum talk"? Who gave you the right to decide what is forum talk and what is not? Is Wikipedia running out of storage capacity?

And also, WP:CRYSTAL works on Article pages, not Talk pages. You should actually read some of the text before crying wolf.

Re: Images edit

I get them from here. They don't have most filler episodes and they're behind on Shippuden, but they have a big selection. I'd recommend knowing what episode you want beforehand; looking through 400+ random pictures a few dozen times is extremely boring. ~SnapperTo 21:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Kanji edit

Sometimes I'm fortunate enough to find the kanji given with a chapter's translation. Other times I'm able to find what I'm looking for on the Japanese Wikipedia. In most cases, as was the case with Hawk, I need to download the RAW version of the chapter. I then match up the English with the Japanese so that I know which panel to be looking at, and then somehow input the desired kanji into Wikipedia (Wiktionary is useful in this regard). Hope that helps with... something. ~SnapperTo 18:28, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: Japanese edit

I don't know Japanese, and because of that I have no reason to disagree with someone who does (ie. ShounenSuki [who appears to be JadziaLover, whose input I value]). The most I can do is check Wiktionary: = sand, = to tie, so 砂縛 would be something along the lines of "Sand Tying". Because that sounds odd you could try making a case that "Desert" or simply "Sand" would be more familiar to the reader, but I'm not sure what the Naruto wikia's preference in such matters is. ~SnapperTo 19:40, 1 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
