Question for administrator

{{adminhelp}} I would like to request that an admin add the ImageAnnotations gadget to the following page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chord_organ I have added some annotations to the WikiCommons page and I'd like the annotations to be visible on the WikiPedia page. I think your request refers to this, but if I understand that page right the gadget has to be enabled for en:Wikipedia as a whole, and I don't think it has been: the template {{ImageAnnotations}} that would be put on the page doesn't seem to be available here. I will leave your "helpme" in case someone better informed comes by; you could also try asking at the WP:Help desk. JohnCD (talk) 19:02, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Looks like it has to be installed for the whole en:Wikipedia - Commons:Help:Gadget-ImageAnnotator/Installation - that's a bit too heavy for me, I'm sure there are some more confident admins who understand the system a bit better  Ronhjones  ^(Talk) 20:20, 21 January 2010 (UTC)

Both admins have pointed at the correct links. They have correctly understood the gadget that I need. It allows users to highlight portions of pictures and make notes on the highlighted portions. It's very useful, so I hope that someone will be able to get it installed. Thanks.

Yes, it has to be installed for the entire site, something that probably would require some consensus/mass approval, etc. You might try asking at the Village pump for the technical details.  fetchcomms☛ 22:48, 21 January 2010 (UTC)
