MITB 2020 Womens winner

Why did you revert my post about Asuka winning the 2020 MITB match and becoming RAW champ? This post was originally done by myself and edited for no reason what so ever by someone else so i put it back to the original content. There was NO need for you to revert it back. You edit was poorly written featured unnecessary capitalisation such as "RAW Women's Championship" and "monday night RAW". Your edit was improved by other editors including myself to make it more readable and then you reverted back to your poorly written edit. Also once you edit wikipedia and then anyone can improve, change or remove any content that you written. You can't own content on wikipedia. TheDeviantPro (talk) 04:05, 27 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello there, I noticed you re-nominated the Eian Beron article for speedy deletion. According to Wikipedia rules, an article is either eligible for speedy deletion or it is not. Money in the bank

Hi, I wanted to say that we know that MITB matches are no disqualification matches but, this is the rule that there should be no Ringside Manager involvement and interferences in this match, James Ellsworth is a male involved in female's match which he should not get involve as he done by climbing a ladder to making her win a match, and this is the no way of winning a match, winner can be consider when a competitor without a manager's interference and involvements climb a ladder and gets a briefcase by his or her ownself not by assisting their ringside assistants. so in this match, no one is winner, no one is disqualified. rematch has been declared for this week's 27th of june 2017 by GM Daniel Bryan. --Broken nutshell (talk) 14:37, 26 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Like I said Money in the Bank matches have no disqualification, meaning outside interfere can happen. Mangers have gotten involved in Money in the Bank matches before, so this isn't the first time when a manager gotten involved in the match. Also there's no rule that says that a wrestler can't win the match because their manager interfered. The winner is decided when the first participate holds the briefcase unhooked since Ellsworth wasn't a participate and Carmella was the first participate to hold the briefcase unhooked then she was named the winner. Bryan stripped Carmella of the briefcase because how she won the match. TheDeviantPro (talk) 04:26, 28 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Doom

I actually haven't seen read much in that section about the release on other consoles prior to me editing the amendment to the Switch version, however a quick look over the section shows that the exact date was used the beta announcement. I think ideally that we don't really need to list the date that that was announced either, but regardless it's a different beast. I just think saying "In September 2017" looks better and more profesional than giving an exact date. The latter comes off looking like it was just rushed in and kinda seems very close to Proseline to me, which we should try to avoid as much as possible.

I also disagree with you when you say that the multiplayer being included in the download would be a common sense issue: Given that it's an optional download, and is essentially downloadable content, it's not obvious.

I don't really want to get into an edit war over this, especially given that these issues are relatively minor, but I would like us to come to a compromise over this. --Deathawk (talk) 05:33, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Why are you acting as if the Japanese ports of games never existed?!

Lately you've been removing all traces of the Japanese ports of the games in the Skate franchise, including Skate (video game), Skate It and Skate 3, by removing Famitsu scores and links! You're always acting as if the Japanese ports of games never existed at all! These GameFAQs links are the only proof that the games were ported to Japan, and yet you deny that proof by erasing all Famitsu reviews from American games that were ported to Japan for release! Why? --Angeldeb82 (talk) 17:57, 22 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Your Name Poster Reason

@TheDeviantPro: I discussed the change on the page’s Talk page. FilmFan’s reasoning was that the Japanese poster should go on the Japanese Wikipedia page.”, even though you can’t post non-free images there. I also told him that many (if not all) of the featured or good anime articles feature the original Japanese poster. Yoshiman6464 ♫🥚 12:51, 1 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

As I said on FilmFan talk page that the reason I changed the English to Japanese poster because WP:FILMPOSTER suggests to use the original theatrical poster, which would be the Japanese poster. Most articles of Japanese films on the English wikipedia follow that template guideline therefore the Japanese posters are used instead of the English ones. Adding a match to the templates of result tables is not appropriate as it change every article that uses that table template. Secondly, there's no match that will feature Asuka that have been confirmed. Just because it says that she will have her main roster debut at TLC doesn't mean that she will be in a match at the PPV, just means she will have appearance at the PPV in some way. Toshihiro Nagoshi on Yakuza 4 onwards

Actually, he is credited as either General Director or Executive Director, so I'd like you to please forgive me for assuming that counts as a director. I have actually looked at the credits before doing so. Also, I don't see him credited as producer on these games either, was this stated somewhere by him? If so, where is the source for that? By looking at the credits, he was the following...

Yakuza 4 - General Director
Yakuza 5 - General Director
Yakuza 0 - Executive Director
Yakuza Kiwami - General Director
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life - Executive Director

So, please do show me that he indeed was even producer on any of these games. Thanks. On Second thought, did the Japanese credits list him as Producer? I’d really like to know.Alaios (talk) 16:33, 23 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey there.

I had to revert all your edits on the Spyro the Dragon pages.

The reason why is that Sierra Entertainment closed down as a fully-fledged publisher in August of 2004, and VU Games only kept the name as a BRAND, not a publisher. Often redlinks can be helpful, so we don't remove them just because they are red. They help improve Wikipedia by attracting editors to create needed articles.

In addition, clicking on the "What links here" special link (in the Wikipedia Toolbox at left) on a missing article shows how many—and which—articles depend on that article being created. This can help prioritize article creation. Redlinks are useful! Please, only remove a redlink if you are pretty sure that it is to a non-notable topic and not likely ever to be created. Thanks! Hi again,

Would you be able to perform another rollback for the NFS article? A user (Neverrainy) came in on May 9th and made a significant number of changes to the article. While some of their rewording was beneficial, the user primarily performed a large amount of disruptive editing (moving main games to spinoffs, deleting spinoffs altogether, tables, etc).

While I understand his willingness to help, he's singlehandedly reclassified multiple mainline titles as spinoffs, without any discussion on the talk page, or regard for sources, other than an arbitrary "belief" on what he considers main or spinoff titles.

Steam on SWJFO's Wikipedia page

I believe it is appropriate to have it listed on the page, and the reason I believe so is because it does not say "here are the platforms it is on", it just says "The game was released for", and it was indeed released on Steam, that is why I believe it should be on there. I am not trying to start an edit war, or anything like that Qylux (talk) 16:07, 20 November 2019 (UTC)QyluxReply

Like with other video game articles we only list the platforms in lead and never services like Steam as it must reflect the infobox. If we included services in the lead it will become bloated with adding things like Steam, Epic Game Store, PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store. Like with the other services I mention Steam is a digital distribution storefront not a platform and you can't play the game on any other platforms other than Windows with Steam. Same with the Epic Game Store as you can only play on Windows, PlayStation Store only on PlayStation 4, Xbox Games Store only on Xbox One, ect. So including only Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for the lead is sufficient enough. TheDeviantPro (talk) 23:48, 20 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

You're not fixing incorrect information, overwhelming sources call them remakes not re-imaginings. Capcom using the word "re-imagining" as a marketing term on their website is not enough of a reason to change it. We must go what majority sources calls them, not just what Capcom calls them. If you still disagree, then discuss on the articles talk page not on my talk page and get consensus to change them but until then they stay as remakes. This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please note that BRD applies to you, it does not apply when you're reverting already contested BLP material that is poorly sourced as per this. THPS 1+2

Hi, I have noticed that you have reverted my edits on the article because you deemed it "unnecessary trivia." It would have been nice if you had sought consensus first. Your "trivia" contains the significance of the games remastered here, shows previous attempts at remasters and gives a brief overview as to why it is a (potential) revival of one of the most significant franchises of its era, as well as containing the last major and independent releases in the franchise. So it is far from trivial. If you compare my section to the one in Final Fantasy VII Remake you will notice it follows a similar structure but contains way less trivia as you call it. If you feel you can improve the section, feel free to do so, but please refrain from undoing my work again.--DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 12:06, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

First off, the section you keep adding goes against the Manual of Style and included excessive information. The background subsection in Final Fantasy VII Remake is heavily focus on Remake with a little focus on the original game. Unlike the section you keep adding with have a heavily focus on the original games, the history of the series, the reception of the previous games and other remakes/remaster that were made by different developers, and we already have articles that already covers this information. We can add little background about the original games in development section like in the Final Fantasy VII Remake article but it shouldn't take up an entire section or become the primary focus of the article, the remaster should be the primary focus, nothing else. Finally, you tell me that I the one the consensus but it's YOU who need consensus. Your edits were bold, I reverted and now you need to discuss on talk page, that's how the BRD cycle works not the other way around. TheDeviantPro (talk) 13:19, 22 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
First of all, you do realize that the guidelines don't forbid articles to have a different sections if necessary, do you? Secondly, if you feel the need to undo other people's work, at least check it properly. The fact that you keep on reverting the "See also" section containing the two previous remakes shows me that you simply abuse the revert tool without giving any actual thought towards other peoples work on the article, and that's not how Wikipedia should work. You could have just moved it to development and shortened it instead of being a dick about this. I will shorten the section and move it to development and hope it is to your liking now.--DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 11:38, 24 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Are you going to do something? Because it's already getting boring to deal with this guy. 2804:14C:5B41:8586:BC92:D2DE:2363:FB39 (talk) 15:05, 7 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Taven

Hello, DeviantPro. As you can see, I had a problem with an user about Matt Taven. An user said we have to come to an agreement, but he doesn't give arguments and didn't answer at one point. You and other user include the content again, but he keeps removing. Since I had a edit warring with him, I think I can't do anything more. Do you have any idea? I would say ANI, but pro wrestling isn't popular between ANI admins. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 09:45, 13 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

THPS 1+2 celebrity guests

The edit you undid referred to the first celebrity guests in the franchise, not random characters, they should at least be mentioned in a footnote, even if they are only present in certain Asian versions. DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 18:40, 19 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Why should they be mentioned? They were, like you said celebrity guests and was only present in the Korean version of the THPS2. They weren't in most versions like the professional skaters or Spider-Man. We don't need to mention every character/guest that were not included in the remaster unless they are worth mentioning like with Spider-Man. TheDeviantPro (talk) 00:50, 20 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

That is not entirely factual. They also feature in various other Asian versions, f.e. the Indonesian one which I happen to own, and I think even in the Australian one. It is only referred to as Korean version as this is the market they were intended for (similar to the Japanese version of THPS3 which is also available in most of Asia). So the footnote could be changed to “several Asian versions“. The group itself is fairly notable, as they were among the top-selling K-Pop groups of their era and, as I explained, the first celebrity entries in the series. DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 19:38, 21 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

They weren't in any Australian release of THPS2, we got the same version that U.S. and UK got. They were only popular in the Korean and some Asian regions, outside those regions they were unknown to the masses. Like I said, unless their exclusion from the remaster is notable; and no I'm not talking about the notability of the group itself; I'm talking about if their exclusion was reported or talked by reliable sources. If not, then I don't think we should included them. There's a few exclusive content from certain versions of THPS2 like levels, secret characters and songs that weren't included in the remaster, mentioning it all will just bloat sections of the article with fancruft and gamecruft. GTA 5 Article Edit War bullshit

Mantr33r (talk) 10:13, 18 January 2021 (UTC) Look, I understand where you're coming from, I DO! But the original Plot is written like absolute trash... It completely glosses over MANY key events and handwaves away 30% of the game in 3 words often. It's not MY fault that the original Plot section is low quality, but I will fix it. And, I told the user MANY MANY times that if he didn't like ONE change I did, that he doesn't undo ALL the changes. Get it?Reply

IWGP double title history

There are notes in the IWGP Junior Heavyweight title history explaining when the title was defended as a part of the J-Crown. Could there not be something similar for the double title histories? Alternatively, you could get the J-Crown notes removed. Or at least choose the better of the two ways of explaining the dovetailed histories: J-Crown notes say when it began and when it ended; Double title notes just say the title changes were double title matches leaving ambiguity about the successful title defenses. Ping me if you reply. Wanchan2020 (talk) 22:56, 25 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

About your NFS articles reverts

God, what a way to act like a total a-hole.

1) The post was made by AN OFFICIAL EA EMPLOYEE if you took a split second to revise it. ALSO FOR F'S SAKE, the same REDDIT post was mentioned in news articles about this situation. 2) The games are now removed from all the stores including Origin and Steam. Good luck using that a citation. There's NO LONGER A "BUY THIS GAME" button on Steam, while many Origin pages return 404 for these games.

Instead of reverting you could MORE RELIABLE SOURCES (which mention the SAME UNRELIABLE REDDIT POST) for F's sake. Oh, god.

It's not my job to find reliable sources for you, if I find the source you provided questionable and I have every right to revert your edits. The burden is on you to provide reliable sources not me. Also it would help that in your first edits that you explained that it came from a EA employer in the edit summaries rather then writing "FML". TheDeviantPro (talk) 10:07, 11 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

You reverted Donnowin1, going against the manual of style and you then went against WP:BRD by removing them from articles before getting a consensus on a discussion on project's talk page, you just started. Even if it not edit warring (which I apologise), you're going against Wikipedia guidelines. TheDeviantPro (talk) 07:37, 14 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
I'm honestly baffled that people only started caring about that tiny detail of the WP/PW MOS this year to the point that I wasn't even aware it was included on it. I could (and probably will) argue that there was an WP:IMPLIEDCONSENSUS already to not include it. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 07:44, 14 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

"She" (Green Day)

I don't want to get into an edit war, but I am pretty sure this is the wrong call. It was recognized as an official single for 15 years prior to your (at first) unexplained change to a promotional single in July. Granted, while neither claim is clearly sourced, the burden of proving it was promotional should be on you in light of a long-standing...consensus, of sorts. And you haven't offered any citation. (Not a written one like Wikipedia defines one as, mind you, I just mean the way it's been before the change.) May I have an explanation? I think it should be reverted back to a single, but I'll hear this out. dannymusiceditor oops 03:07, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Both Dookie and Green Day discography articles have She as a radio-only/promotional single, which I changed this article to be in line with those articles. Also how it was "recognized" as an official single when no sources have been provided for the claim and there have been no discussion to determined it's status. Skimming though the edit history, since the article's creation there has been no clear consensus saying "She" was a official single, even at times it was stated that She was a radio-only/promotional single. So saying "It was recognized as an official single for 15 years" is a reach because it wasn't. You're making this sound like I changed some sort of long lasting consensus (according to you), when in reality I didn't because there was no discussion or consensus in any form that says She is a official single. TheDeviantPro (talk) 03:53, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for bringing the discography to my attention. There's some good thought in making the two consistent. It wasn't like that for a long time, though - it got changed in this September 2021 diff to a promo single by Happyomen, who doesn't appear to be consistently active, though I welcome them to prove me wrong. I want to know what led to that choice - what are we drawing that conclusion from after it had been labeled a single for many years? There's not any discussion of it on the talk page, and the edit summary "promo singles" doesn't really tell me anything. As for why it isn't present on the album, I see that you removed it - while it's definitely valid to remove "singles" from the box on the basis of them being promos, that circles back to the point of I'm not sure this is one. I'm not saying there was a written consensus, I just think it's dubious to change something that's been one way that long when there's not proof to change it, either. It was obviously released in some way aside from the album, but which way isn't clear, and I think we should fall back on a previous, more general choice in such a case. dannymusiceditor oops 05:41, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Addendum: being "radio only" per Dookie was not verified by the source supporting the text. dannymusiceditor oops 05:49, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you think that She should be named as an a official single, then go ahead and change it. I don't mind. TheDeviantPro (talk) 23:40, 29 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi @DannyMusicEditor and @TheDeviantPro. Sorry I've been dormant lately. Here are a few quick links that identify "She" as a promo only release: [[1]], [[2]], and [[3]]. Happyomen (talk) 18:21, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Discogs isn't a reliable source because the info on the website is user edited. TheDeviantPro (talk) 23:00, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
I know this conversation stopped a while ago, but am working on improving Dookie as a whole right now in an effort to repair its FA status it undeservedly holds, and thought there was something worth noting and clarifying somewhere for interested parties. Sometimes Discogs can be usable as proof of visual facts, and this supports the notion "She" was a promo - in the images shown of the disc, something I initially overlooked was that on the disc, in Spanish, it reads "Prohibido su venta", or "Its sale is prohibited". The English message "Not for sale" is usually appended to promo singles, so there's our answer. dannymusiceditor oops 06:29, 3 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for catching my gaffe

Hello! I wanted to quickly say thanks for your correction with this edit. I was updating the credits for a number of games and had come across several where someone credited as a co-director was listed, which typically should not be included. Upon reviewing the Tomb raider credits again, it's obvious that the two are credited that way since they both served as game directors, not that they were co-directors for another primary game director.

Super long-winded way of saying "I goofed", and I appreciate you catching it! Sock (tock talk) 12:34, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Do not revert GTA articles pretending you own them based on personal views. Just because you feel something is unnessary doesn't make them so, you might seek WP:RfC. either ways for now I am busy and can't get involved in WP:EW but you4r behavior of boldy reverting anyone's edit even when they are supported by WP:RS and WP:V is disturbing and needs WP:ANI review. Maybe when I am free I can look into the matter, right now i just reverted if you want to go WP:EW then fine do it, you do have a history of aggressive editing but i will bring it up when I am free. Just because you feel something is unnessary doesn't make them so, and NEVER act like an artcicle owner and give others the chance to include materials supported by WP:RS. Anyway i will be busy the next few days, if someone gives a WP:Third Opinion I will be fine with it, but your personal views alone and bold reverts can't dictate anything! None of your edits were back up by any reliable sources, so don't try and claim that. Secondly I barely revert edits which are backed up by actual reliable sources. I do admit that I get bit aggressive but only at editors who repeatedly refuse adhere to guidelines, manual of style, making unsourced changes or adding unreliable sources. Also don't act like you're a saint on here because by looking at your talk page history, I have notice that you have a history of going on a hissy fit with other editors over your own edits.   You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Grand Theft Auto VI. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. GSK (talkedits) 16:02, 1 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
