Image permission problem with Image:Ketteringconcede.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Ketteringconcede.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — neuro(talk)(review) 13:27, 2 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

AfD Nomination: Sam Smith (English footballer) edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Sam Smith (English footballer) meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sam Smith (English footballer). Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last five days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article.

Merging pages edit

Hi, just a friendly reminder that when you merge articles (such as Peter De Banke Terrace), you should redirect the original page to the destination page. This is necessary for copyright reasons, and also helps readers reach the information they're looking for. Help:Merging and moving pages has more about merging articles if you're interested. Thanks! License tagging for File:South stand nene park.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:South stand nene park.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:05, 13 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:RDFC-Blackpool-Break.png edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:RDFC-Blackpool-Break.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 11:41, 16 July 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Istcol (talk) 11:41, 16 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rushden and Diamonds history edit

Hello. You created the page Category:History of Rushden and Diamonds FC, which appears to be an article rather than a category. This ought to be at somewhere like History of Rushden and Diamonds F.C. instead. I would have fixed this for you, but it is not possible to move a category page into the mainspace. Could you create the page in the mainspace, so that I can delete the mislabelled category page? As you are the only contributor to the category page, cutting and pasting would be OK. Oldelpaso (talk) 10:53, 16 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

It can now be deleted, thanks! I was aware that I did something wrong, I just wasn't sure what, or how to revert it. Thanks again [[User:That'sWhatIWould'veDone|]] (talk) 11:41, 16 August 2009 (UTC)

Articles for deletion nomination of Hillier Cup edit

I have nominated Hillier Cup, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hillier Cup. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Shadowjams (talk) 08:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
