My decision on Thomas Kruger AFD edit

Thanks for contacting me in regards to my decision on this AFD, however I feel I must abide by my original decision and recommend this article for deletion. Even with the new references I feel this article fails WP:notability. I also note that this article has been created twice before as Photographer Thomas Kruger and Thomas Krueger Fine Art Photographer and subsequently deleted, an indication that the wikipedia consensus is against the inclusion of this article. Perhaps inclusion could be considered in the future if the subject becomes more notable or is mentioned in more secondary sources but at the moment deletion seems to be the right choice. I hope taht clears a few things up - Cheers Dumelow (talk) 12:31, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi tekphoto, you ought to read the overall wikipedia notability guidelines and the notability guidelines for biographies as well as the reliable sources policy. To be notable enough for inclusion, the subject of the article should have been the subject of multiple reliable, independent sources. This means the sources should discuss him and his work. The fact that he had photos published in magazines is not enough to establish notability, and the sources that are currently cited in the article only mention him in passing. Right now, the article does not meet notability guidelines, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't be recreated in the future, as Krueger's career progresses and he receives more coverage in the media.Karanacs (talk) 15:12, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to withdraw the article, dont blank it, but say so at the AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thomas Krueger & it will be quickly closed & the article deleted. DGG (talk) 12:26, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
