Carpentry Question - Intersecting Planes edit

Hey Tdjewell. To better answer your WP:RDMA question, can you define two angular measures. First how do you define the tilt? When the boards are standing upright, as in your first example, is that A = B = 0°, or A = B = 90°? Second, how do you measure the bevel? Does a square cut board have a 0° bevel or a 90° bevel? I'm now suspecting the former in both cases, that is, A = B = 0° when the boards are upright, and that a square cut board has a 0° bevel, which means that the bevel is the complement of half the dihedral angle between the boards (or equivalently, half the supplement of the dihedral angle between the boards). If I have consistent definitions to work with, I can post a derivation of my formula (or the properly modified formula for our agreed upon definitions) on the desk.
