Bahmani Sultanate collapsed?

Dear Takafumi, I notice that you have made a number of edits to various pages claiming that the Krisha Deva Raya's conquering of the Bahmanis led to the "collapse" of the Bahmani power, citing p. 88 of Richard Eaton's book. For example, [1]. However, I do not find this expression in Eaton, and it seems to be synthesis. Do you have an explanation for this? 1. Death of Mahmud Gawan.
2. Split in the nobility.( Native Group vs Foreigners)
3. Rise of independent rulers.
4. Defeat at the hand of Krishna Deva Raya.
5. Incompetent Sultan like Mahmud Shah.

Ok, but my problem is that the term "collapsed" doesn't occur in the source. The fact that the Sultanate split up into five independent pieces, with each of them continuing to be strong and one of them coming back to get Vijayanagara in the end, doesn't convey "collapse." I don't believe that this term can be used unless it occurs in some source. Otherwise it would be synthesis and OR. - Kautilya3 (talk) 08:07, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Fall/Split to pieces/Collapsed/Destroyed are commonly used interchangeably, though academically each term has different meaning. I thought you were asking the reasons, not the actual academic term. BTW, the perfect term is "The Fall of Bahmani Kingdom". It covers everything.Ghatus (talk) 09:29, 22 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I suggest that you hold off on adding random books from a Google Books search as references. Please read through WP:HISTRS before you add anything to Raja Raja Chola as most of what you are adding are not considered reliable sources.
